Charlotte's POV

I sat on my bed in the soldiers' quarters, thinking about all of my friends. My hands trembled slightly, threatening to drop my head that I held in my hands.

I looked out the large window the right of the room. I stood, being careful not to hit her head on the shelf above the bed. I touched the shelf with all of it's books resting on it.

I walked over to the window and sat on the chair in front of my telescope. I pushed the chair back and crouched to the floor to get a good view of the glittery stars. I pulled the bottom of the telescope to my eye.

"Wow, you have a telescope!" The girl exclaimed, running to it and looking into it. "Hehe, yep." The girl's silver hair flowed back from the wind.

I shook my head to clear the flashback. I couldn't think of her now. She betrayed everyone I cared about. My free hand curled into a fist.

I remembered Lily always liked her until she went off with some girl to try and destroy Stardew, but the king stopped her.

She was never seen again after that. That was before we met Zero.

He was a nice guy, sometimes short-tempered, but he was a great friend all in all. I shook my head harder to clear the thoughts. Tears tried to for in my eyes, but I wouldn't let them.

I swept my hair aside as I glanced at my watch. 11:45. I sighed, flopping onto my bed, almost slamming my head against the shelf, but I quickly jerked my head to the side.

I couldn't get to sleep that night, waking up every thirty minutes thinking about my friends.

I wasn't sure if I could keep up this act any longer.
