Jay strode down the stairs, feeling happy. It was a few weeks after the incident with the girl, and she felt like all the trouble had blown over.

Boy, was she wrong.

She walked out the door to go to school. Marshal was waiting outside to walk to school with her.

"Hey Jay. How's it going?" He asked.

"Oh, just great. I feel like nothing bad is going to happen today, you know what I mean?"

And with that, she went on an endless rant about how great the world is. Marshal sighed. She always got like this when she was happy.

He looked over at her, and when he did, he couldn't help but smile. She had that look of when you're talking about your favorite movie star, only she was talking about how happy she is to have all of her friends.

He saw Charlotte and Lily up ahead, slightly hearing their conversation.

"No, I know you've never played Pokémon before, but I'm telling you, Politoed is the best!"

"It doesn't look like it. Jigglypuff is OBVIOUSLY the best choice."

Of course, Marshal had no idea what they were talking about, but Jay rang out with her own opinion.

"No Serperior is the best choice. It's so awesome!"

Lily squealed like a fangirl, and they both got into a heated debate about which starter Pokémon was the best.

Marshal grinned. "It looks like everything is gonna be okay after all."
