Jay's POV

I stared in amazement as the spirit spoke. "It has been a while, hasn't it? I'm sorry if I was late," Lily said, scratching the back of her neck.

I was really confused, so I looked to Lily for support. She walked over to the spirit. "Yeah, I'm sorry, Judy, but I'm here now. I've been having problems with friends..."

She began to tell the spirit, this so called 'Judy', about how her life had been before she came. I realized she must not have seen her in a long while. I looked around the room some more, and realized this must be a festival.

"You still haven't introduced me to your new friend, Lilian," Judy said, twiddling her fingers. "Oh! Right! Judy, this is Jay, Jay, this is Judy."

"Oh, yes! I almost forgot to introduce you to my boyfriend! NICK! GET OVER HERE!" Judy shouted, and everyone turned their heads to Judy.

"Okay, okay, you don't have to shout about it. I'm coming," a voice said from the crowd. Another spirit walked through the mass of spirits.

He had a purple flaming fringe that covered his left eye, which was light blue. In fact, all the spirits had light blue eyes.

"There you are. What were you doing back there?" Judy asked. "Oh, I was just playing cards. No big deal."

"So, who's this friend of yours, Judy?" Nick blew his hair aside, to have it fall right back where it was before.

"Nick, this is Lilian. She's part of our agency. Lilian, this is Nick. He's good at playing cards, but he's lazy," Judy said, gesturing to them in turn.

I stood there watching the scene unfold, no one bothering to acknowledge me. I sat on the floor, taking my sketchbook from my bag. I began to draw the temple, and the ongoing festival.

When I was finished, I sat back, admiring my work. The page began to glow purple. It seemed to suck me into the page.

Everyone was too busy to notice me disappear out of thin air.
