Virginity

While boys are taught that the things that make them men--good men--are universally accepted ethical ideals, women are led to believe that our moral compass lies somewhere between our legs. Literally.
So here are a few reasons why I loath* inward groan* the concept of Virginity.... * the 11 year old girl in me just blushed*

1. * start from the beginning cause we are classy bitches yaaasss* Virginity Frames a Woman's Worth as Inversely Proportional to How Much Sex She's Had. Which is dumb as fuck! Because I can be an amazing person but you'll judge me cause I like a little sex now and then or I can be a total bitch but as long as my legs are closed....

2. It kinda makes zero sense if I'm not heterosexual. Virginity is stuck in a heteronormative box. I have to have had sex with the opposite sex to have lost my virginity. Here we go again, marginalising people and shit.

3. It's so fucking sexist!
" Dude, totally lost my virginity last night"
" About damn time, you sissy"
* the other gender*
" I lost my virginity last night"
" Oh my gash Stacy, you don't even love the guy, how could you?"
In some cultures you can be easily exiled or killed for not being a virgin when you get married. But my brother gets a high five and a pat on the back? This shit is crazy.
4. It encourages slut shaming
It gives people the power to continue to insult women for being sexual beings and make them feel guilty for choosing a life style that makes them happy.

That being said, a lot of people choose to be virgins because they are saving themselves for the right person, or out of religious beliefs and i respect that 110%. But people who choose not to remain virgins should not feel bad about it.

I come in peace. Attack with kindness. All healthy debates here.
