I wrote more, yay (?) Okay so I'd just like to say that if I've made any spelling mistakes or whatever, please let me know so I can fix it ASAP, even if you're not sure whether it's a mistake or not, please mention it just to be safe, thankssssssssss :3 Also the picture is what I recon Mr Potter would have been driving because he's cool dad.

8:35am, Monday the 12th April 1976, James Potter is sat excitedly in the front seat of his fathers car, almost too ready for this new experience, tugging at the sleeves of his green blazer and straightening his tie, he can't help but hope he gets to a maths lesson soon. Peter Pettigrew is sat nervously in the back of Mr Potters car, remembering how little he enjoyed his previous experience at muggle school, he guiltily hopes that none of his new classmates walking past can see the sight that is to be beheld next to him; Sirius Black had somehow turned in the rather restrictive seat so that his legs were swung up over Remus Lupin's lap, completely abandoning his seatbelt he had managed to snake one arm behind Remus' lower back and settle his free had in Remus' as he slept. Remus had completely lost all train of thought regarding school as he watched Sirius sleep, it amazed him how Sirius could possibly sleep in such a position.

Sirius couldn't be allowed to sleep for much longer as they were fast approaching the gates of the school where Mr Potter would leave the boys to fend for themselves from there on out. They had collectively decided that Remus would do the talking with James as back up, because you never know with muggle schools. They were to go to the reception of the school and explain that they were new pupils and would require timetables and what not. The Marauders were joining the school directly after the Easter holidays so through the window of the car, various greetings of friends could be seen taking place on the streets leading to the school.

Remus was slowly but surely shaking Sirius out of his slumber as Mr Potter parked the car, quite badly, around the corner from what could only be assumed as the entrance of the school, as soon as they were out of the car he called out telling them to behave then drove off in haste, as though trying to get as far away from the school as fast as possible.

The four boys began making their way down the street, all  very aware that people were looking at them in a strange demeanour, led by James, strutting confidently towards the unfamiliar building. Peter followed close behind, hoping he wouldn't seem too out of place. Remus was half a step behind Peter, struggling to think of much all else while half dragging a drowsy Sirius along beside him. Sirius just wanted to be sleeping.

As they approached the entrance to the school, that looked like a simple bungalow compared to Hogwarts in James and Sirius' eyes, they heard a man clearing his throat from behind them, they all turned to see a tall man with dark hair and glasses stood in front of them with a disapproving look on his face. "Excuse me boys, I don't know why school rules shouldn't apply to you, pupil entrance please." He spoke clearly with a hint of annoyance in his voice, as though he was frustrated that he was having to face adolescents before the day had even begun. The man wore dark trousers and a white shirt with a red bow-tie tied about the collar, his suit jacket was slung over his arm and a satchel balanced on his shoulder. It was clear that he was a member of staff, which meant it was time for Remus to take charge.

"Oh, um, we're sorry sir, we-" He began. As he was speaking, the man's face was slowly twisting into a smile, he let out a small chuckle before interrupting Remus.

"New fashion is it?" He said, seeming oddly amused, though the others couldn't seem to figure out why. "But I must say," He continued, taking a step closer to Remus. "it really is good work, looks real, got a talent for art have you, boy? Special effects make-up really is becoming an art form these days." The four boys became quickly aware of the fact that this man was addressing Remus' scars, which they all new all too well, were not placed there by an art form. Remus felt his face flush as he fought not to let his hand reach up to hide his face. It had been years since anyone had actually mentioned Remus' scars so outright, he was used to sidewards glances and subtle questions, but never had he been confronted like this. He felt Sirius tense up beside him and knew that Peter's worried gaze was watching him.

James spoke up next, he knew he was backup and backup was needed. "As he was saying, sir, we're sorry but we don't know where that is, we were just looking for reception. If you could kindly point in the right direction we'll be on our way." James replied in the most sickeningly pleasant voice he could muster. They all watched in silence as the man realised that he'd made a mistake, his face said it all, he had assumed the four boys were pupils returning that he didn't recognise, he thought they were just looking for a quicker route out of the sharp English wind, he had assumed too much, too quickly.

"Oh, I am so very sorry, boys, I'd assumed...I thought...If you would, uh, like to, um, follow me, I'll take you through to reception, please take no offence, pupils understand my sense of humour, not the best of first impressions I'm sure." He now struggled to hold eye contact with any of the four boys and began fumbling with his keys for no apparent reason.

They followed him into the building, thankful to be out of the cold weather. The room they entered was clearly the reception area, it was quite a basic room, dotted around the brick walls were pictures of past pupils who had clearly gone on to be successful and placed directly in the middle of the far wall was a large desk filled with papers and forms and books, it was almost impossible to see the small, plump woman sat behind the desk.

"That's Mrs Smalding, she'll guide you from here on in. I really am sorry boys, I'm Mr Clatworth by the way, I teach Biology, I hope I get to teach you." And with that, Mr Clatworth was out of the door leading deeper into the school.

There they stood, mentally preparing themselves for what stood ahead as Mrs Smalding stood from behind her desk. This wasn't going to be easy.

Okay so yes, I wrote more. Did you love it? Did you hate it? I wanna write more but I wont post it if you don't want to see it, so let me know pleaseeeee. I'm probably going to write it for my own benefit anyway so it's just a case of whether you want to see it or not. :3 Also it's 3am so this may be terrible but I don't have the energy to go back and check.
