Maria's P.O.V.*

I had a day off today, I would be going on a plane to Ohio with Niall in approximately two hours. I felt so guilty for the way I acted on our date a few days ago, he shouldn't have seen me like that, in pain. Honestly, the only people who have seen me cry are Niall and Louis, I don't want to seem weak in front of people. I groaned as I looked at the time, I had to get ready soon, and I was nervous. I know Niall will ask me questions about the way I acted on our date today, and I just don't want to talk about it. I finally got up off the bed and walked over to my closet, I had already packed and just needed something to wear. I changed into something casual yet comfy and walked out, actually pleased with my body today. I watched TV with my luggage next to me as I waited for Niall.

Finally I heard the door bell ring, revealing a happy Niall as I opened the door. "Hey, come in." I said, gesturing towards the sofa. "I don't think we'll have time to sit love, the plane leaves in two and a half hours." Niall said. "Oh well can you help me with my luggage?" I asked as he nodded in reply. I only brought two so I carried one luggage while he carried the other. We slowly walked down the steps with the luggage. "Thanks." I said as we put my things in the trunk of Niall's car. "Don't mention it." He said with a smile, as i buckled up my seat belt. "Just please, drove carefully. You know how I have a fear of driving or cars." I hesitantly spoke, holding on to my seat belt as Niall started the engine, and started driving us to the airport. "Don't worry Princess, ill be extra careful for you." Niall said, looking into my eyes for a moment, before he went back to steering the wheel. There it is again, that word. Princess, for some reason i felt like it had a deeper meaning than just a simple word he calls me.

Our plane was called on the speakers, we grabbed my purse and Niall's backpack, which were our only carry on's and walked inside the plane. Thanks to Niall we had first class tickets, so we took a seat on the comfortable chair and put our things away. The voice on the speakers told us to close our seat belts, and we did. "Aren't you excited?" Niall exclaimed with joy. "More like nervous as hell." I mumbled. Niall frowned for a split second, sympathy in his blue eyes, then smiled again. "Why nervous?" He asked. I shrugged, I couldn't tell him why. "I dunno, I guess I haven't seen my mom for a while." I said, and Niall seemed not-so-convinced. I don't know how he does it, but I'm a pretty good liar and people easily believe me, so why doesn't he? "I just want you to know you can trust me, Maria." Niall gently said, placing his warm and soft hand over my small ones. "I know." I said, that was weird...? I was tired so I fell asleep, while Niall watched movies.

"Maria, wake up. Maria, we're here." I hear Nialls voice as a hand tapped my shoulder. My eyes fluttered open to see Niall, holding both of our carry ons. "We're here?" I asked, rubbing my eyes, Niall smiled, as he nodded. I got up and yawned before Niall lead me out of the plane and into the airport. This is it, I was in Ohio. Once we went though the usual safety procedure we grabbed our luggage and walked out, waiting for our taxi. I realize how much I had missed this place, Louis and I spent most of our lives here, so many memories came flooding in. Some good, some bad. The taxi finally arrived and helped us carry our luggage into the trunk. I lived in Akron, in a small town ear the city. The taxi dropped us off and I watched as Niall tipped the man. There we were, standing on the doorstep that I used to call my home. My aunt Kelly must've seen us from the window because she opened the door before we could even knock. "Oh my goodness, Maria! You're here! You've changed so much since I last saw you." Ain't Kelly said, giving me a tight yet comforting hug. Aunt Kelly used to take care of me and babysit me most of my childhood, she was like a second mother to me. "I missed you so much! The house looks exactly the same!" I said, pulling away from the hug, realizing I was rude enough to completely forget about Niall. "I see you've brought a friend along." Aunt Kelly said, looking at the young man in front of him. "Yes, this is my friend Niall, he's the reason the trip was actually possible." I said, as aunt Kelly gave him a hug too. "Niall Horan, nice to meet you." Niall said politely, shaking hands with Aunt Kelly. "Oh and he's a gentlemen too?" She joked.
