"Ugh, I hate Monday" Jake groans slowing his skateboard as we get closer to the school. "Yeah, why can't school start of Tuesday?" Josh groans loudly. "Because then you would hate Tuesday, and then Wednesday, and so on" I say in a 'duh' tone. "Whatever" Jake says and we all skate until we get to the courtyard where everyone likes to hang out before school.
We find our usual spot in the courtyard and we stop out boards. We sort of arrange ourselves in a circle so we can all face each other. "What the hell" Will says slowly with a confused yet angered look spreading on his face. Of course since my back is facing the yard and so is Jake's back. We turn around and we all go into shock, and then we all try to keep our laughing in.
Melanie Sanchez. The most popular and cliché queen bee of high school. Did I mention she is also very desperate. Melanie likes Will, and she is obsessed with getting him to be her boyfriend. He on the other hand hates her. She is constantly trying to get his attention. She would always find a way to flirt with him. I think maybe it's because she has not been rejected by anyone except Will. Which makes her want him.
Melanie is singing some weird love song that I have never heard before. By the way the words are it sounds like she changed the lyrics to Titanium to make it talk about how she and Will belong together. Her posse, Jasmine and Olivia are holding a huge sign that says "WBTE" with the caption as "We belong together Will ❤️."
I look back at Will who has a scary glare staring straight at Melanie and her minions. He stomps towards Jasmine and Olivia and grabs their sign and rips it in half. He throws the sign at Melanie causing her to stop singing at look at him. He turns around and walks back towards us with a face that I read as 'I'm-gonna-kill-her'. When he finally reaches us and does not look back at her at all "Don't deny your love for me, What we have is real!" She calls back at him. Now tell me, do you think she just likes him? Or do you think she is an insane girl who has a crush on a guy and would do anything just to date him?
I swear she has desperate written all over her.
Being the good friend I am I call back to Melanie. "Yeah his hate for you is real... What was that? Yeah Will says that he would rather die than date you!" I call back with a smirk. I give Will a reassuring smile which he returns. "At least I have one good friend" he says to everyone else as in Jake and Josh who are laughing their heads off. Josh is clutching his stomach probably in pain from all the laughing and Jake has his hands on his knees and he bends over as if he has troubles standing because of the laughing.
The warning bell rings summoning everyone to get inside before school starts. We all walk inside and head our separate ways to find our lockers. I actually don't mind school. I get good grades and my teachers don't exactly give a lot of homework.

I actually like gym unlike all the other girls in my class who are always complaining on the locker room. It's always why do we even have gym? Gym is so stupid! What's even the point of this class? It's either that or they don't mind the class. I'm the only one who half looks forward to it. I said half because I don't like my gym teacher.
Mrs. Peckin who is the 40 year old woman who likes to make us play dodgeball way to much. And when someone gets hurt she tells them "too bad" and makes them get back in the game.
She makes the teams girls v.s guys which I hate because I'm the only girl who tries to actually play. "This is going to be so easy" a guys named Brent scoffs to his friends. "Wanna bet?" I ask. "20 bucks" I say challengingly. His face turns to me and he gives me a cocky smirk. "You're on. As if a girl can beat me" he says confidently. I sigh at his underestimation of me. But I keep my emotions in check but in my head.
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!! YOU'RE SUCH A MORON! HOW DARE YOU UNDERESTIMATE ME JUST BECAUSE I'M A GIRL! YOU'RE SEXIST, STUPID, AND YOU NEED TO LEARN A LESSON!! WHICH I'M GONNA TEACH YOU!!
Yeah I hate when people say that girls are not good enough or that girls can't do something just because we are girls! I mean how stupid can you be! We are both human which means we can do the same things! Sorry for ranting but it just aggravates me so much.
"Get ready to eat your words" I tell him with a evil smirk. Turns out he really ate his words because even since all the girls got eliminated except for me I still beat the guys. I got them all out one by one. They thought they would win for sure when I was the last person on my team. Little did they know I have amazing aim and a knack for dodging their attacks.
When class finished I made sure to get Brent last. It was actually really funny. When I got the second last person on his team making him the last person on his team totally I saw him go pale as he gulped which gave me the chance to hit him straight in the stomach. When I won he looked as if he witnessed me killing his whole family. Yeah very brutal and violent way to explain his dumbstruck face but still, it was funny and a little cute.
When Mrs. Peckin blew her whistle to indicate that the game was over Brent still just stood there in shock at me. I giggled just looking at his face.
Wait I giggled? Okay I need to stop. Me? Giggle? Nah I don't do giggles. But it was probably more of a chuckle. Yeah a chuckle.
His face made me chuckle.
"Fenderson!" Mrs. Peckin screams at Brent making him finally move ever since I hit him with the dodgeball.

At the end of class when everyone was finished changing and was waiting for the bell to dismiss us we just stood around. Brent walked up to me. "Hey" he said sheepishly knowing I was going to tease him about the game and how he was wrong. "Have you eaten your words yet?" I smirk putting a hand out to collect the money. "Sorry I doubted you, I didn't know you were so good at dodgeball" he tells me placing a 20 dollar bill in my palm. I see his cheeks turning pink as he shifted his wait on his feet. "Of course you didn't know I was good. You think that because I'm a girl I can't be sporty. Which is wrong because you don't know me" I tell him disapprovingly. I make sure I don't sound like a scolding mother though, not that kind of disapproving tone. More disapproving like annoyed disapproving. Am I rambling? Yeah I do that a lot.
He opens his mouth to day something but he is interrupted by the bell. I rush out of there before he can say anything. Like every afternoon I grab my things and take my skateboard and when I get outside of the school I drop it down and I skate to the courtyard to meet the guys.
Everyday after school we meet in the courtyard and then we go home together. We do it because a) we don't want to be alone and have nobody to talk to and b) because we don't want to look like loners I mean we don't care what others think that much but we try to avoid getting bad things told around the school about us. So we just avoid it. The gossip at my school is like wildfire one because once a rumour starts it's hard to stop it. Usually you have to wait until it blows over and two because it gets around and spreads so fast.
When everyone is at our spot we skate to our houses to do whatever. Whenever I get home I get my homework done which sometimes I don't even get homework. Like today, I have no homework. And when that happens I go to my room and watch Netflix. I mean, why not?

Note: Oh my gosh 1537 words sorry if you think this chapter is too long. I just did not feel like ending it halfway through. It would not go well with the story because the events that happened today kind of have to happen. I'm not going to say anything more though just because it would probably give you guys way too much info.
