Chapter 33| Never Expected

ONTO THE CHAPTER -->

I walk down the hallway following the same path I've taken for the past few days before reaching room 215 and opening the door.

"Hey, how are you?" I ask caringly as I walk into the plain white room.

Will looks at me weakly and gives a small smile, but looks pained just as he moves.

"As good as I can be," he rasps.

I nod sitting down in the chair next to his bed.

"Lexi.." He begins as I look at my fingers. It pains me to look at him in this state. "I'm sorry for what I did before I ran off, can we forget it ever happened?"

"I just want to know," I say glancing at him before looking away again.

"Yes. I did like you, but you have to know I didn't mean for it to happen. It was impulsive, and I know you're in a relationship. I'm over it, I needed to accept myself. It's crazy how much you think when you're in a life or death situation."

"So.. you're okay with still being friends? I don't want to lose my best friend," I say giving him a small smile.

"Yeah, plus I saw a real cutie earlier. Came in and totally freaked out because it was the wrong room," he says and I chuckle a bit.

"Oh really?" I laugh.

"Yeah, he has the hottest accent and the cutest blush," he says and I tilt my head confused.

"He?" I ask with a small smile.

"I'm guessing I haven't told you," Will says and I nod. "I'm bisexual."

"I would've never expected that, but what's his name?" I ask and he shrugs with a patch of pink reaches his cheeks. I raise my eyebrows suggestively and he smiles.

"Okay fine," he says rolling his eyes. "It's Cyrus, and he's adorable."

"Oooh! Will's got a crush," I tease him making him blush a deeper shade of red.

A knock sounds at the door and I turn around to see Brent, Jake, and Josh all walking in.

"Did I just hear that you have a crush?" Jake says with a smirk.

Brent sits down in a chair next to me and Jake stays standing as Josh sits at the end of Will's bed. I laugh and nod, causing Brent and Josh to laugh with me.

Jake raises his eyebrows and crosses his arms smugly.

"Who?" he says like a girl trying to get the latest school gossip.

"A guy.." Will says quietly making everyone else grow silent from shock.

"You're gay?" Josh asks and Will shakes his head.

"Bisexual actually," Will corrects and everyone starts to talk again like it was nothing.

"OoOOoOoOooOoh!" Jake teases before a gentle knock sounds on the door and it opens once more.

A doctor walks in and along with him comes a boy around our age. The guy has pale skin, but compliments it with some black jeans and a purple t-shirt that makes his light brown hair pop out more.
