"Hey Jake!" I call to the familiar figure.He turns around. When he sees me he smiles and walks over.
"Hey" he says trying to make sure he doesn't drop anything.
"What's with all the...stuff?" I say gesturing to the pile of purple and green party supplies.
"You remember Destry?" He asks.
"The girl you have been crushing on for like a year?" I chuckle as he struggles with all the stuff.
I take some of the stuff off his hands and he smiles gratefully.
"Yeah well we've been getting closer today and tomorrow is her birthday. So I'm getting ready for tomorrow, I'm also going to ask her out too" he tells me.
"That's great!" I congratulate him and we walk inside his house and drop off the stuff onto his kitchen table.
"So are you throwing her a party?" I ask. "A surprise party" he confirms.
"Cool, need any help?" I offer.
He looks around in thought before replying. "I think I'm good, but if I need your help I'll ask" he tells me.
"Okay" I say about to exit "oh and have you seen Josh or Will recently?"
"Not since our game night last night, why?" He says as he begins to sort through the pile.
I'm guessing Destry's favourite colours are green and purple.
"No reason, just bored" I shrug before exiting his house and crossing the street over to mine.
~~~~~~
I wake up and grown into my pillow.
I turn off my loud alarm clock and squish my pillow into my face.
"Lexi wake up!" My dad yells from downstairs.
I hate mornings. Especially Monday mornings.
I slowly lift myself off my bed and walk over to my closet and look for some clothes.
I put on some light grey skinny jeans and a mint green cropped t-shirt and some white converse.
I leave my hair down and the straight strands fall on my shoulders.
I get my things and go downstairs.
"Morning honey!" My dad calls as I reach the last step.
"Mornin'!" I call back.
I set my stuff down and search through the fridge before pulling out an apple and taking a bite.
My dad kisses my temple before leaving for work.
Thomas is already gone and Brian is in his car.
I grab my skateboard and skateboard to school.
As I arrive I have yet to see any of the guys.
Jake is skipping because he has to get ready for the surprise party. Josh is skipping to hang with Jake because he didn't feel like going. Will said he has to moves some things into his new foster home.
So it's just me today. Great.
I didn't have time to talk to Brent so maybe he'll be here.
Last night I got little to no sleep since the guys and I had our weekly truth if dare game. We ended up staying up till like one or two in the morning.
I go to the courtyard and play some games on my phone.
After a few minutes a familiar girl with blond hair and dark brown eyes comes up to me nervously. Destry.
