You Don't Know Me

Chapter 6| Fights, and Video Games

I arrive to our usual meeting spot before the guys and I skate to school together. I notice that Jake is wincing and rubbing the corner of his jaw.

When he arrives closer I notice how beaten up he looks. He went to the party. He stops his skateboard and walks to me still rubbing his jaw. "What happened?" I ask concern filling my voice. "Todd Crosslee" He replies with his voice slightly hoarse and raspy.

Todd Crosslee is Reese's boyfriend, and Reese is one of Melanie's minion's. I would say friend but it seems to be a one sided friendship. Since Melanie treats them like slaves, and they actually follow her orders.

Whenever Melanie is angry at someone she finds a way for them to get hurt. She probably got angry at Jake and told Reese to find someone to beat him up. She did this at another one of Trey's parties, but she told someone to beat up Josh.

The only reason she hasn't beat me or Will up is 1), she only does this at Trey's fight parties (which I don't go to, and 2) because she likes Will and doesn't want him to get hurt.

"What happened?" I sigh. "Well Melanie wouldn't leave Will alone so when she didn't listen to him I told her to go away and stuff and she got mad" He admits.

I admit Melanie is very... strange. But for him to just tell her to go away usually she would just send you a glare and ignore you.

He had to have said something specific to piss her off. "What did you say" I say knowing this won't be good.

Now it's Jake's turn to sigh. "I told her to use her caveman feet to walk away since Will didn't want to talk to her, she told me no because Will does want to talk to her, which he obviously denied. then I may have asked her if she was going to get her minions to fight her battle for her because she's too lazy to do anything but treat her 'friends' like peasants. And she got Reese to get Todd to beat me up" Jake explains.

Reese actually used to be part of our friends circle. She was a girly girl but she didn't dress up for others which is why we got along well. Then she started hanging out with Melanie and became one of her minions. We haven't exactly talked since.

"What a witch" I say. I don't like to cuss, but when I do it means I'm really mad. There's no actual reason why I don't cuss. I just don't.

My fake cuss causes Jake to laugh. "What?" I say chuckling at his laughter. "Why don't you cuss?" he asks still laughing. "I don't know" I shrug. "Is the wittle wexi afwaid of saying a bad word?" Jake teases in a baby voice.

I fall into a laughter hearing his high pitched baby voice. Jake naturally has a really deep voice and to see him successfully impersonate a baby voice is hilarious.

The rest of the guys arrive and we ride to school together. Josh has a small bruise forming on his arm but I know where it' from so I don't ask.

Will apologizes for getting Jake and Josh beaten up, but being the good friends they are, they don't accept the apology. It's not his fault Melanie got someone to fight her fights for her again. He can't control Melanie. So it isn't his fault.

"I won, I won, I won, I won" I chant as I do my victory dance in Will's bedroom. We decided to hang out at Will's place after school. So the first thing we do is play some video games.

We decide on Gang Beasts which is one of my favourites. It's now 5 o'clock and school ended at 2. So we have been playing video games for 3 hours now and I won every single Gang Beasts game. We did play GTA for a bit but there's no winner sort of in that game, I technically won every single game.

I'm just that good.

"That's it, you're cheating" Josh says "There's no way you beat us just like that, seriously that last round was like 40 seconds." I sigh at the guys as they whine over losing to me again. They are very sore losers. Which sometimes is hilarious. I have many stories. Only because I beat them very often.

We continue with the video games and the whining, and more video games, and more whining. Until 5:30 and we decide to go home. I eat dinner and go to sleep. It was a simple yet really fun day today.

Note: So I am so happy to say this book has been up for only five day and I already have been getting a lot of views and votes and for that I want to thank you. I am super excited I might post another chapter later today, who knows but I'm just glad that this book is going well.

And before anyone mentions that I spelt 'Favourite' wrong I didn't where I live that is the correct way of spelling so I just wanted to get that out there.
