Chapter 32| Vera

Warning: This chapter includes a lot of swear words, so get ready for it

So Will gave the story to the police today. I know the full story, and the police said that it might've been on purpose. As in someone wanted to run Will over and kidnap him.

I can't even imagine that.

I got the basic story from the police and I'm still shocked.

So when Will ran away from me he was crossing a street and a car just ran him over. Then instead of getting help, the driver threw Will in the trunk and basically took him hostage in his underground shed.

The thing that freaked me out the most was that the driver was identified as Mick Gerald. His emergency contact was Vera Barlow, Will's mom.

They interrogated Vera and she said that Will was a burden. She said that when she told Mick, he said that he wanted him gone.

The police think that Mick had the intentions of killing Will.

I know Vera is trying to save her own ass by placing it all of Mick, but I know she had a part of it. I know. It doesn't take an idiot to figure out that Vera is a selfish bitch who only cares about herself.

I fucking hate her.

Taking out my phone and pressing record on the Voice Memo app I put it back in my pocket and ring the doorbell.

It takes a moment, but finally she answers the door.

"Alexandra? What're you doing here?" She snarls with alcohol in her breath.

"I need to talk to you," I say my voice stern.

"Is it about your dumb friend Will?" She asks rolling her eyes.

"He's not dumb, and he may be my friend, but he's also your fucking son," I say fighting the urge to bitchslap her.

"I don't want anything to do with that fucking bastard," she glares at me. "It's bad enough that Mick failed at what I told him to do."

I clench my fists at my side as she takes a drink from a bottle of wine in her hand.

"What did you tell Mick to do?" I ask my teeth clenched together.

"I told him to get rid of Will, you know, as in kill him," she slurs and I take a deep breath.

"You ordered your fucking boyfriend to kill your son?!" I scream and she smirks nodding her head drunkenly.

"Of course I did, I want him dead."

"I can't even fucking look at you, you fucking disgust me," I say before turning around and walking back down the street towards my house.

"By the way bitch, I recorded all of that," I yell back and she looks at me for a good second before screaming and slamming the door shut.

I take out my phone and stop recording once I'm far enough.

Taking out my ear buds I place them in my ear and plug it in my phone and listen back to the recording.

"What did you tell Mick to do?"

"I told him to get rid of Will, you know, as in kill him."

"You ordered your fucking boyfriend to kill your son?!"

"Of course I did, I want him dead."

Now all I need to do is go to the police.

I walk into the station and go towards someone at the front desk.

"I have something really important to the case about William Barlow," I say and the man looks at me and nods.

"Who are you?" He asks and I give my name.

Looking at the computer he takes the phone and calls someone.

"Keagan, an Alexandra has something for the Barlow case."

In a couple of minutes, a man emerges from the back and looks at me. It's the same officer that told me the news about Will when they first found him.

"What do you have?" He asks and I hand him my phone with the earbuds and he plays the recording.

After a few moments, he smiles proudly at me.

"I've been trying to catch Vera for a long time now, thank you," he says before doing something with my phone. "I sent the recording to my email, I'll be in contact with you soon."

He hands me my phone and I nod leaving the station.

I think I finally got Vera put in jail, and for a very long time.

A/N: Drama alert! Also sorry about all the cussing, I try to keep it at a minimum, but it was kind of necessary for this chapter.
