Chapter 1: A mission I did right

Lucy's POV

"Lucy! Happy!Let's go do a job!" shouted a very familiar dragon slayer, who shouted a very familiar line.

"Okay Natsu! But you gonna have to wait 'cause i have to go change." I replied. You see, earlier that day, Wendy,Erza and i were all stuck cleaning the library, and i was cleaning the very old part, where people seldomly go.

"Uh, s-sure, but I-i don't s-see why." Stuttered Natsu, while his face became red. Hmm, maybe because the heat was finally troubling him? Natsu had quickly looked down to the floor, trying to hide something.

"He liiiiiiiiikes her!" exclaimed Happy, rolling his tongue.

"You filthy cat!" i shouted. I swear, if looks could kill, Happy would have been dead from the first time we met. I was about to give him a good smacking,but Natsu had already beat me to it.

" aaahh! Gomen, Natsu!!" apologised Happy.

"Anyways, come on Lucy, let's go!" beamed Natsu. " Happy, you too."

" Aye Sir!"said the blue cat with a now forming bump on his head. All three of us marched down the road, while i, been the cautious girl i am, asked Natsu if he asked Mira about consenting the job. Natsu just nodded his head in approval.

Natsu's POV

"Lucy! i forgot to tell you what the job was about!" i exclaimed, rubbing the back of my head. I was more likely trying to remember.

"Well why don't you just give me the request paper?" She asked. Shit! What do i tell her?

"i,-uh, well, it uh -" i was beginning to talk but my stupid exceed cut me off. I mean, who does that? I am his best friend!

" When Natzu had already given the paper to Mira, he stuffed it in his back pocket, but he had gum there and it had kinda suck to the paper. He tried washing it off with water but the paper became soaked, and then Natsu wanted to dry it. He used his fire to dry it but instead, it burnt the paper." explained Happy.

"Natsu you idiot! look, i will punish you later ( not negative ppl!!), just try to remember the job!" ordered Lucy.

" Pfff! Hahahaha!! Natsu? remember?" Happy teased. Seriously, Happy will go down by my fist!

"Shut up!" I exclaimed. "Lucy, ignore this stupid cat! I just hope he knows that he will be getting NO fish when we come back!!! Anyways, let me explain the job.The pay is 300,000 jewel.We just have to make sure some very 'special' magic orb reaches its destination, Odes, by train. The paper said that some very strong mages are stealing the other orbs, and will most likely target this one too. So, those mages will just have to know what's coming their way!" i explained, while doing air quotes on the word special and pumping my fists in the air.

Lucy had just nodded. It was a quiet walk to the train station, but i wisely used that time to watch Lucy. I could not help but stare at her beauty. Especially the way her eyes glimmer and her hair shines in the sun. I still could not believe what had happened this morning. I never meant to stammer by just saying that she was looking alright. I remembered when i said the sentence in my head. It sounded waaaay better in my head!!! I sighed heavily. Maybe i need to talk to someone about this, but who? What if-

"NATSU!" screamed Lucy and Happy in unison. I quickly snapped out of my thoughts.

"huh?" was my reply.

" We were calling you for awhile. When i asked about the train schedule, you were zoning out. You also had a very worried look on your face. You alright?" Lucy asked. Wow! That girl is very observant!

"Aye!"

" sorry! I was just thinking about the train. What if i get motion sickness?" i lied through my teeth. Nice save, i thought.

"Natsu, you don't think."

" Well, i was not thinking to be exact then! Look, just forget about it." I said.

" Oh, alright. But don't do it again, 'kay? " worried Lucy.

( riding in the train)

Lucy's POV

" ugrfirfflgh," gurgled Natsu. His face was purple and his cheeks were swollen. "We should have brought Wendy along with us. She would have cast Troia on me."

" But Natsu, you know that Troia will eventually stop working on you!"

The only response Happy had gotten were some wierd sounds. I looked at the magic orb. The big black thing was encased in a special magic barrier. Wow! That thing must have been really important, i thought.

" Lu-shee," called Happy. I turned my head to face the blue exceed.

" You gonna have to fight for Natsu because he is sick!" explained Happy. I froze. I totally forgot about that! A shocked expression was written all over my face. " i totally discourage you, Lu-shee!"

" Happy!!! What sense does it make to tell me that!" i cried.

" Well well well. A cat, a CUTE little lady and a motion sickness man.Jeez, they can't get anymore funny!"Laughed an unknown voice.Happy and i turned around and came face to face with the enemy!

"Shit! You're the guy whose been going around and stealing the magic orbs!" i exclaimed. The guy had honey brown hair, a big nose and squinty eyes.

" Me? oh dear, you have mistaken! That was my boss! Instead of him coming, he sent me instead. He is counting on me you know! Let me just tell you that you are now facing a very strong man!" bragged the man.

"Lucy, i don't think you should fight!This guy seems strong!" warned Happy. As soon as he said those words, the man faced Happy and froze.

" Aaah! The cat is so cute when he talks!! CUTE!" the enemy cried. I sweat-dropped. The guy just literally exposed his weakness to me!!

"Open! Gate of the Canis Minor, Nikora!" i summoned.

"Pun -pun!"

"Plue! Do your dance thingy for this guy!" i commanded.

"CUTE!!!!!!!" cried the thief. The man got a seizure and fell to the floor. What the heck? Maybe Plue was too much. I saw this as a chance to finally finish off the man.I pulled out my Fleuve d'Etoile and tied him up.

At that exact moment, the train stopped, and the man who sent the request, Mr.Hobbs, ran in.

"What on Earthland is happening! Please tell me that the magic orb is okay!!" He blurted out.I quickly moved aside, showing him the orb which was safe and sound.

The man sighed in relief. "Well, because of your deed, here is your reward." He handed the reward to Happy, since i had the criminal tied up in my hand.

"Guards!! Seize this man!" ordered Mr.Hobbs. The guards took the thief away and my hands became free.

Natsu recovered from his motion-sickness, but because he was out for so long, he was extremely confused.

" Let us go home, Natsu, Happy!"
