Chapter 41

Harry's POV

This Ryan guy seems a little cocky. I entwine mine and Lexi's fingers and pull her close to me. I kiss her temple and smirk at Ryan.

His jaw clenches but I know he doesn't want to show it.

"C'mon I've got a table for you two." Says Victoria.

We follow her and Lexi sits next to me and on the other side is Ryan. I pull her chair close to mine and entwine our fingers.

"So you guys are dating?" Asks Ryan practically glaring at me.

"Yes we are it's been about 5 weeks now." She says smiling at me.

I gently kiss her lips just to give Ryan a hint that she's mine and only mine.

"You guys want any drinks?" Asks Ryan.

"No thanks, you babe?" I ask her.

"No thank you." She says.

Ryan gets up and leaves.

"Be nice." Lex whispers in my ear.

"You know how I hate cocky guys hitting on you." I whisper playing with her fingers with one hand.

She kisses my jaw line giggling.

"I saw the way you pulled me away from him." She whispers.

I chuckle. "Course, I want you all for me." I say kissing her lips.

She pulls back blushing. "PDA Harry!" She says laughing a bit.

"Eh! I don't care, I love you." I say.

"I love you too." She says.

I kiss her lips again smirking. She pulls back and gets up.

"Where are you going?" I ask getting up with her.

"Bathroom." She says.

I entwine our fingers and we go to the hall to the bathroom.

"You're seriously not following me in there right?" She asks.

"No." I say laughing and tapping her nose.

"You know she'll be living with me in a couple of months." I hear.

Ryan comes in smirking.

"No she isn't." I say, confused.

"Believe what you want to." He smirks walking away.

Lexi comes out of the bathroom moving her side long bangs away from her face.

"Lets go." She says switching her phone to her other hand and entwining our fingers.

I lead her to the table and we sit down. A couple of girls come to take pictures and ask for autographs.

Lexi's POV

I drink my cold water as Patrick stands up making everyone look at him.

"Will everyone follow me to the garden?" We stand up walking outside and to the garden seeing a path which led to a beautiful fountain.

It was pretty dark outside so the water lights were on inside the pool and the fountain. Big house.

We all wait and see Patrick grabbing my mums hand and leading her in from of the garden.

He bends down on one knee.

"Victoria since the moment I met you, y-you were beautiful and i knew you were the light to my dark tunnel," he pauses and my mum lifts up her free hand to cover her mouth.

A tear streams down her face.

Harry looks at me worriedly.

"Victoria will you marry me?"

I let go of Harry's hand and fast walk to the car.

I unlock it entering the pass lock and get inside running a hand through my hair an getting out my phone.

Tears stream down my face as I look for my dads contact.

Harry opens the door.

"Baby..." He says.

Tears free falling down my face as my dads voice mail enters my ears.

"Hello! Sorry I'm busy right now call back later."

"Babe.." He says.

I throw my phone, it hits the ground of the car.

He gently strokes my cheek wiping the tears down my face.

"Beautiful.." He says.

I look up at him.

"I don't want her to say yes." I say.

"Baby, I-I don't know what to say or do." He whispers.

"Can we just go home?" I ask.

He nods. He gently kisses my lips and walks to the other side.

We ride in silence and he reaches for my hand. He entwines our fingers.

"Don't let me, don't let me-"

"Hello?" I ask.

"Hey Lexi." I hear.

"Hi Austin." I say whipping my tears. "How's New York?"

"Great! I see you in every magazine now!" He chuckles.

I fake a laugh. "Haha."

"I have to go I'll talk to you some other time." He says.

"Haha. Nice small talk see you later." I say.

We pull into Harry's drive way and we walk to his room. He hands me one of his white KISS shirts and boxers. I put my hair in a messy bun.

Harry goes into the bathroom.

My phone rings.

"Hello?" I groan.

"Sweetie where did you go?" Asks my mum.

"I'm at Harry's house mum." I mumble.

"Oh, I wanted to show you my engagement ring! It's beautiful!" She says.

I need to stop crying. My mum needs to be happy. But it's just hurts so much knowing that someone is replacing someone who was there for you your whole life.

"I bet it is mum, I'll see you tomorrow." I say.

"Ok sweetie goodnight, I love you." She says.

"Love you too." I say.

I hang up and lock my phone Harry walks out of the bathroom and hugs me from behind.

"Are you ok?" He asks.

I nod. We walk over to the bed and tangle our legs. I lay my head on his chest.

I need to stop acting like a kid. I need to understand my mum has moved on. I need to get over that my dad isn't coming back. He passed two years ago. He will always be in my heart and I need to understand that.

Harry kisses my lips and we exchange 'I Love You's' and fall asleep.
