Chapter 39

Lexi's POV

"Hey."

Me and Haley freeze. What is he doing here? I look at Haley and at the same time she looks at me, we both have confused looks on our faces.

"Can I come in?" He asks chuckling.

I nod not thinking straight. I close the door and Haley stares at me.

"What is he doing here?" She asks whispering.

"I don't know!" I whisper.

He goes and sits on the smaller couch and Haley and I sit in the big couch.

"So.." I say.

"How ya been?" He asks.

"Good, everything is good you?" I ask.

He shrugs, "Good, I see you everyday." He chuckles.

Haley laughs nervously and looks at me wide-eyed.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Well you're on TV every now and then and you're on a-lot of magazines." He chuckles.

"Right, right-"

"Colton?" Asks my mum coming down.

"Hi Ms. Brooks." He says going up to hug her.

"How's your mum?" She asks.

"Great." He says.

"And your sister?"

"She's in college, graduating next Saturday." He says.

My mum smiles. "Well I'm gonna go run some errands so I'll see you later!" She says.

Once my mum is out the door he sits down.

"How's Alicia?" I ask.

"She's good misses you coming over." His smile fades.

Haley's phone rings and she runs up to my room.

"So um I have invitations for you guys." He says.

We get up and go to his car. He hands me white invitations.

"They are for Alicia's graduation party." He says.

"Thanks." I smile.

"How's Harry?" He asks.

Butterflies come at the mention of his name. Kinda cheesy? Oh well.

"He's at an interview right now but he's good." I say smiling.

Colton nods.

He rubs the back of his neck and chuckles.

"What?" I asks.

"No nothing it's stupid." He says.

"Tell me." I nudge him with my elbow.

"Why did we break up?" He asks.

Blue eyes looking deep into mine. I never really knew why we broke up. I guess it's because our relationship was awkward?

"I don't know." I say looking at the ground.

"I'm sorry." He says.

I look at him.

"For making this awkward."

I nod.

"I was kinda hoping we could be friends like we used to be?" He asks.

I look I to the distance. Should we be friends again?

"We can give it a try." I say.

He smiles hugging me. I wrap my arms around his waist. His hugs nothing compared to Harry's. Harry's hugs are like hugging a big teddy bear. We pullback and he opens his car door.

"I got to head back, I'll see you whenever." He says.

"Ok bye." I say.

"There is one in there for Harry and his family also for Haley." He says.

I nod. "Ok."

He smiles and waves as he leaves my driveway.

I wave and head back inside. I give Haley her invitation and put mine and Harry's in my drawer.

"Hi this is Harry I'm busy-"

I lock my phone and put it down. Harry doesn't answer my calls and it's getting late.

My phone buzzes and it's Harry.

From: Babe

To: Lexi

Sorry babe my phone died our flight got delayed so I won't be there until 2 AM xx

From: Lexi

To: Babe

Ok night love you xx

From: babe

To: Lexi

Love you beautiful xxx

I lock my phone and get into the sheets.

Sorry it's short! I got loads of homework!

I got hacked on twitter and now I can't tweet or anything so I'm making a new one!
