Nothing made sense on the way home. There were no patrol cars around so luckily I wasn't thrust up against the wall again. My brain was running at one-hundred-thousand miles an hour if that was even possible, and my body strived to keep up. That kiss threw me off – way off – and trying to keep my hormones from raging turned out to be an exceedingly difficult task every time he shot a dimpled smirk my way.
Every now and again, he'd reach out for my hand while we were walking, my failure to resist him made perfectly obvious a few minutes ago, and he knew he could frustrate me if he so much as brushed my hand, even by mistake. And so, that is what he did. Frustrate the shit out of me. And he did it with a smug grin.
This was not like me at all. I didn't do things like this, especially when Cody and Cassy were not around. The only time I did anything truly rebellious was when either one of them were involved. And now I'd come close to giving myself to a complete stranger – a fucking hot stranger.
I didn't know what was to come of this... but I couldn't deny – I loved every bit of it. Being with Dylan enthralled me more than you can imagine. Just the threat of being caught, the rush and intensity of it all. Was this really what life was like in the upper sections?
We reached my house just as the clock struck two and we stood outside my window, still sitting a little open from the top. He leaned on the wall and watched me with a knowing smirk, his eyes scanning over my dress as if he could see right through.
I wouldn't be surprised if he knew what I looked like naked – he sure got a damn good feel. I suppose his imagination is running wild at the moment. But, me being me with no self-confidence whatsoever under that gaze, I rubbed my arm self-consciously and pulled the torn bit of my dress up to where it was supposed to be, holding it in place for the time being.
He watched me play with the dangling piece of material until finally, he moved towards it, "Here." In one swift move, he ripped my dress from the collar right 'til the shoulder and off the piece went, leaving my whole left shoulder and collarbone exposed. I couldn't help but gasp as the sound of the ripping material filled my ears and in the next second, he was leaning back against the wall again, folding my ripped piece of lilac dress. My hand flew to my shoulder to cover it. I wasn't used to having so much flesh being exposed, especially in front of guys like Dylan.
He pocketed the folded material. "This is mine now."
"Sentimental, are we?" I forced the words up and out of my throat. What was wrong with me?
"Just a little." He grinned. "Now, I promised I'd take you to bed. Consider this job half done."
I moved towards the window, opened it up and stepped halfway inside my room. "Half done?"
He grabbed my arm, stopping me and said, "I'll finish the job some other time. Cause between you and me – I think one of us isn't quite ready for the other half of this deal." He gave me a pointed look and I pulled out of his grip, stepping fully onto my bed. He leaned on the windowsill with both hands, flashing me that panty-dropping look of his again and I felt another wave of desire wash down through me. "Meet me in the Square tomorrow."
I sighed. "I'll try."
"No." he said bluntly. "You'll come to the Square tomorrow."
A surge of defiance spiked in me and I found myself challenging, "Or what?"
