The doors of my new home opened up to a grand mansion. Jeremy scooped me up and carried me inside, set me down and shut the doors. I looked around. The floors were marble, the door sensors were electronic and the furniture was all shiny and modern, too beautiful and expensive for a man with no job. Suppose his daddy bought this house for us. And everything else in it.

I turned and looked at him, brushing a few lose strands of hair from my face. He looked oddly content, as if seeing me here with him, in his space, was the best thing he could've asked for. He strolled towards me, tie hanging over his shoulder and his shirt untucked.

"Welcome home, Mrs. Stogan."

"Please don't call me that." I said bluntly. "Makes me sound like your mother." I turned and walked a little deeper into the house, looking around.

Everything moved slightly faster after the 'I do's'. People congratulated, pictures were taken, and the reception was exceptionally boring, but quick, nevertheless. The only thing that made it bearable was the food and wine. After the sun dropped in the sky, Jeremy and I set off to our new house. This is where I'd be living for the next three weeks.

Yippy.

"What do you want to do?" He asked, his deep voice echoing against the walls.

I flung my heels to the ground and let my hair loose as I said, "I don't know. What do you want to do?"

"There's a pool out back. We could–"

"You see this hair, Jeremy?" I pointed to my head. "This hair don't do well with water."

He chuckled, "Okay. There's a games room upstairs." He shrugged. "Wanna play God of War?"

I frowned. "You play God of War?" He nodded. Well, what else would we do with our time?

A grin spread across his lips. "Race you there." Suddenly, he was zooming off up the stairs, running out of his shoes in the process.

I watched him in slight amusement. "What are we – five?"

"You're slacking!" he called from upstairs. "I'm gonna beat you there."

I chuckled lightly at the idiot and jogged up the stairs. The dress would barely allow me to walk so I had no clue how I made it up. The house was dark. Jeremy had run ahead so I had no fucking idea where to go. I wanted to get out of this dress and get comfy before we did anything. And him hiding from me wasn't going to do me any good.

"Jeremy?" I called out as I walked down a dark hallway. "Jeremy? Where are you? This dress is fucking suffocating me. It would be nice to know where my stuff is so I can change." I whined. "Jeremy?" I stopped walking and looked around, my eyes adjusting slightly. I could make out a few things, like the multitude of doors on either side of the hall, the tiny tables in between every door, each one holding a flower of some sort.

A light switched on then and I spun around, cursing in the process, to find Jeremy smiling by the switch. "Lost, princess?"

Did he just call me princess?

"Don't call me that."

He strolled towards me. "What shall I call you then? My lady?"

"Oh god."
