"Are we going to pick up Trish?" I questioned, confusion hitting me as I watched Sarah pass Trish's street.
"No, Eli is driving her", Alice answered, turning the radio station. The answer clearly shocked me and instinctively I flinched not expecting it. The thought of them being with each other made my stomach whirl uneasily.
I cleared my throat, grabbing the girl's attention as they lightly argued over the radio station."So you mean they're going out or something?"
Sarah laughed, letting Alice win the mini radio battle. "No way, Eli is totally done with Trish but she just can't seem to leave him alone. . .it's like she's obsess or something."
I let a sigh of relief and looked at my dress. Trish was my friend and deep down I felt bad about having some sort of infatuation for Eli, but another part of me was glad that it seemed like they were over. "That's gre-I mean oh", I said hoping no one noticed.
Sarah and Alice both looked at each other and then at me and laughed. "I see you want Eli", Alice giggled, seeming to read my thoughts perfectly.
I blushed, cheeks warming. "Maybe a little."
"No you really want him. . .Trish will be cool with it. She's been through almost every guy at her school so girl code really can't apply here because there's really no one to pick from that she hasn't touched. Oh and she thinks he likes you too", Sarah grinned at me through the front mirror.
I looked at her, blue eyes widening in disbelief and excitement. "Seriously!?" I exclaimed.
"Uh yeah, he's totally in to you. I can't believe you haven't noticed", Sarah grinned, watching my excitement dance across my face from the mirror.
"Well I thought he was just trying to be nice."
"Oh he is definitely trying to be nice and trying to get something from you too." Alice sent me a teasing look, moving her arched eyebrows up and down.
I looked at her. My sudden excitement was gone, a sudden bitterness falling upon me. "Really, so he only wants me for sex. . .how did he treat Trish?",I asked frowning now feeling a little bit doubtful.
"Well he only wanted one thing from the head cheerleader and he got that in less than a week and a half, kinda whorish if you ask me but when I told her that she yelled at me. I was just trying to be a good friend, but she didn't listen so what ever and he never said he loved her or anything", Alice said angrily. You could tell she was a little bit bitter. Rather it was from the way Trish treated her or the way Eli treated Trish was a mystery.
"Oh so he'll do the same thing to me?" I asked. I mean why wouldn't he. Trish was beautiful, was a cheerleader, and held power at the school. Rather anyone wanted to admit it or not, she was catch. Maybe a little bitchy, but she was a catch none the less. So if Eli could easily use up someone like her, then why would he treat a small town, country girl any differently.
"Maybe, I don't know" Alice said nonchalantly.
I nodded, deciding to stop pestering the girls and rested my head on the seat and looked out the window. We drove for a little while longer until the blasting of music alerted us to the upcoming party house ahead. "Why don't the neighbors call the police?" I wondered,my voice getting louder because of the music, which almost swallowed my voice up completely.
"Because his neighbors are so use to it. . .they know to wear ear plugs", Alice giggled, letting out a whoop. We parked a few house down, since all these car were lined up everywhere. I got out and pulled my dress down and pulled the top part up. I looked at Alice who was pulling her dress down to show a little cleavage and I looked at Sarah who was pulling her dress up to show more leg. These girls were the complete opposite of me, I realized pensively. I was all for modesty and they were all for show.
