"Do you know who I am?" Alice asked pointing to herself.

Head propped on my hand, I frowned. "Yes you're Alice." Annoyance was clear in my tone.

"Okay what about her and her?" She pointed to Sarah and then Trish.

I sighed, briefly wondering why I was entertaining this. "Sarah and Trish."

"What about that?" She pointed to the window.

"A window...listen I haven't suffered from memory lost because of this concussion so can you please-"

"Wrong the sky!" She interrupted me.

"Alice!," I snapped.

"Okay, okay. I was just kidding." She giggled.

Once again, I sighed and slouched in the hospital bed, turning to Sarah and Trish.

"So what did Eli say when you told him you didn't want him back?" Sarah asked me for the second time. I sighed again. I was doing a lot of that today.

"I already told you he said he had to go because he couldn't take staying in this room with me if I wasn't his." I frowned remembering the somber moment.

"Really!" Trish looked beyond shock.

Every one turned towards her. "What? Eli never said something sweet like that to you." Sarah smirked smugly at Trish.

Trish bit her lip and looked down.

Becoming impatiently, Alice leaned in. "Well?"

"Yeah, I guess," she mumbled while picking at her hair. The bitterness was clear in her tone.

"Woah Elissa, Eli might really love you," Sarah said looking at me with her wide greenish blue eyes.

After basically kicking him out my room, this was not something I wanted to hear. I slouched even more down, starting to wish that everyone would just leave me alone. "It surely doesn't feel like it. For all we know, he could just be saying things any girl would want to hear."

Trish huffed and looked at me. "He's not just saying it and he does, I can tell." We all looked at Trish in shock at what she just said. Ever since the beginning, Trish has been anti Eli and Elissa, so to hear her putting in an effort surprised all of us.

"What!" Alice asked still in shock.

"I can tell in his eyes and by the way he looks at you. . .gosh you girls act like I, can't say one nice thing," Trish said crossing her arms.

"I'm sorry, but I just never expected you to give me any and I mean any advice on Eli," I replied.

"Well you're already in the hospital because your crazy ex-boyfriend gave you a concussion and no one hasn't even saw him since, so I was just trying to be nice." Trish smiled with a short shrug.

My shock disappeared, and I only frowned at her. "Gee thanks," I sarcastically said.

"So what about Dylan?" Alice questioned putting her legs on top of the chair's arm.

"He should be telling her right about now...he left like 20 minutes before you guys came," I said looking at the clock.

"Talked to your mom?" Trish asked trying to keep the convo going.

I shook my head, trying to hide the wave of disappointment. My mom couldn't even give her concussed daughter a call. "No...my dad called and said he came yesterday and told me he would be back today to check me out, but not my mom. It seems she tends to put other people in front of me. I swear, when I get older, I wont be like that to my children." I mumbled softly, shaking my head. My mother had never been the true nurturing type, but times like this when I really needed her, she was hardly ever there. They all gave me an understanding face but didn't say anything, probably because they didn't know what to say.

Suddenly, Wade walked in and broke the silence. "Hi Elissa, hi girls." He smiled sheepishly at all of our bewildered stares before clearing his throat.

"Hey!" I said a little bit too cheerily. With the smile still plastered on my face, I slyly grabbed Sarah's arm and turned to her. "Don't leave me in here alone with that Hulk" I whispered, wide-eyed. Sarah immediately nodded her head, gripping my hand in reassurance.

"Um sorry about the concussion," He sheepishly mumbled, handing me some flowers.

Warily I took the bouquet. "These smell nice." I sniffed the flowers. "Marigolds, my favorite." I smiled trying to calm my nerves and not let on how nervous he made me by being in the same room with him.

He grinned. "I know."

"SoIi hope you get better soon and sorry again and I'm going to be going." He pointed to the door while my friends stared him down like hawks.

The awkwardness was almost unexplainable. I nodded and he quickly walked out. As soon as he was out of ear shot, Alice turned to me. "You know I was watching a talk show about abusive relationships and what just happened now is what they talked about, how he hits you, gives you a gift and apologizes, yep what just happened was on there, he'll do it again." Alice nodded to herself looking so proud of that.

"You know it was an accident," I sat down the Marigolds.

She shrugged "Alright, but I'm just saying."

"Okay but-thanks." I quickly changed my mind and decided to just give her the praise she was clearly looking for. She smiled and nodded and turned to Trish and began chatting with her. My phone began ringing. I looked at the caller ID.

My heart slowed. "It's Isabelle, she's probably going to be crying." I frowned imagining my sister blubbering on the other end while I soothed her tears away. We were never that close in which we cried on one another's shoulders, but I felt like this time I could definitely be that for her. I had her back the entire way in this situation.

"Oh my gosh is that Maroon 5, she will be loved? I love that song!" Alice squealed referring to my ringtone.

I rolled my eyes, holding back a head shake. She was asking about my ringtone, while I'm about to try and help my sister with her first heartbreak, really.

Letting out a low chuckle at Alice's randomness, I picked up the phone. "Hello," I whispered, still trying to figure out what to say.

I could hear her crying on the other end. "Are you okay?" My heart sunk at the sound of her crying.

"No," She whispered before releasing a low sob.

"Tell me all about." I breathed, trying to be a good big sister and sound soothing. I knew how she was feeling. That heart-sinking, will-breaking, heart break feeling. Yup, I knew how it felt.

She paused and begin to talk again. However as she talked, her broken tone changed into one full of loathing and fury. "Today, my amazing boyfriend that I love broke up with me because my instigator sister butted into my fucking business. " She snapped, and I cringed from the venom in her tone. "Listen, next time something happens in my life stay the hell out of it you annoying stupid bitch!" She screamed before hanging up the phone.

My heart sunk and I paused and took a breath and swallowed. I dropped my phone and it landed on the floor. "What happened?" Sarah asked seeing my crestfallen facial expression.

I shook my head not knowing exactly what happened myself. "I-I don't know" A lone tear surfaced and rolled down my cheek.
