The two giant doors stood before me. We were on the third of many floors of the castle. Logan reached for the handle and pulled the door open, revealing the gigantic training room and the many people inside.
Some were practicing swordplay, others were weightlifting. To the far left, there was a group practicing archery. There was even an enclosed area where people were practicing their specialty moves.
"Where did all these people come? How come I've never even seen them around?" I asked.
Logan chuckled. "Annually, elected citizens of SkyFall are chosen to come for a week of training. Here they can practice in every single field there is. Archery, weaponry, aerobics, specialty moves, survival skills, and many more. Today is their fifth day. Their first day was when you were still sleeping in the cottage. I left you for a bit to welcome them, then I went back and found that you were still sleeping."
"So all this time, I've been stealing you away from them? Logan you should have told me! Now I feel like such an intruder..."
He laughed. "Don't worry. I'm only here on the first day and after that, the trainers help them out." He gestured to a few people, one being Asher, the servant who brought the vials when Logan was healing me. "Although I do stop in every once in a while."
"Oh, so you aren't really that unknown and mysterious like people make you seem. I wonder why Beth never told me about the annual training..."
"That's because I am mysterious and unknown, to the humans. They don't know about the training because its exclusively for citizens. Humans have always been more like visitors, but now that they are going to live here, I guess they will eventually know more about me."
Logan led me to an empty enclosed area. It was large and made out of thick glass; bulletproof, I noticed. Well, how crazy is the training?
Logan turned to look at me, smirking.
"What?"
"Hopefully this will go better than your horse ride," he teased.
"Well, if you wouldn't have had such a horrible teacher, I wouldn't have done so badly!" I sneered.
He faked being offended. "I'm a great teacher! You're just a slow learner! And a clumsy one too..."
I rolled my eyes, but couldn't help but smile. "Well, let's see if I'm any good at the specialty moves."
Logan took my hands and placed them on top of each other, my arms out in front of me.
"Shadowball?" I asked.
"Yes. Now close your eyes and let your mind go blank."
I did so and waited for a few seconds. "So... What next?" I asked, after about five minutes of silence.
I opened one eye and saw him smirking. "You're not letting your mind go blank. You're thinking too much. I can tell."
"Wait... Can you read minds too!?!?" I panicked.
"No, but if I could, would that would be a problem?" He held back a smile.
"Well, yeah... You'd know every single one of my thoughts..."
"Which are?" Oh nothing much... Just thoughts about how insanely hot you are!
"Umm nothing in specific..."

"I'm impressed!" Logan exclaimed as I sent a punching bag flying with a thunder kick. It landed with a thud several feet away from us. Jolts of electricity escaped from it as it made an impact with the ground.
Before I had a chance to answer, I heard the dinging of a bell. I looked around, confused to find no bells nearby whatsoever.
Logan laughed. "It means you leveled up; you are now on level two. No need to look scared," he teased.
"Oh! Well then!" I faked being offended. I pulled down my main menu, and sure enough, it said I was on level two, and I acquired another move. I tapped on it, excited to know what is was. Acid Spit, it read. Unconsciously, I touched my mouth, feeling uneasy at the idea of having acidic saliva.
"Ergg, oh..." I managed to say.
Logan laughed. "It's nothing! Your spit will only be acidic when you want it to be." He turned to the glass wall, and a small glob shot out of his mouth. It impacted with the glass, making it sizzle and bubble. "See?"
"Eww." It was the only word I was able to say.
Logan smirked, "I'm guessing you're not gonna try this one?"
"Oh, I'm done for the day!" I declared. I entwined my fingers with his and led our way out of the training room and into the pasture. We passed by Asher, who gave us a wide grin and a wave. "C'mon! I betcha I can shoot shadow balls farther than you can!"
"I wouldn't be so sure," he mumbled as he gave me a quick kiss.
"Oh, it's on!" I said, declaring war on him.
"Get ready to lose!" As soon as he said this, the ground began to dimly vibrate. If this is yet ANOTHER earthquake, I swear, I will-
"It can't be..." He said softly.
"What's going on?" I asked. If Logan was worried, then something must really be serious...
He shook his head and pulled his hand away from mine. "How? He couldn't have done this on his own.... This can't happen again!" He mumbled to himself, seemingly forgetting about the world around him.
"This is terrible! Did he escape completely? Should I go check? This could be the end of SkyFall..."
"Logan! What are you saying?! Why is the ground vibrating?!"
"He's coming... I have to stop it."
"Who?! What in SkyFall are you talking about?! You're scaring me Logan..."
He put his hands on the sides of my face. "Dawn, I'm taking you back to the mainland. Find your friends and lay low. I'll check on you in a few days and hopefully things are okay..."
"Logan, why? I don't want to leave you! You're not going to do anything dangerous are you??"
He closed his eyes, trying to calm his emotions. "I- I- I promise to be as safe as possible. There's no time to explain. Just promise me you'll find your friends and you won't do anything dangerous." He kissed my forehead. He gripped my hand tightly and, in a flash, we were gone.
