   Y/N'S POV

After the events of what happened at the Capitol, Clark had been very protective over me. He never wanted to leave my side, but he had to protect Metropolis as well. Lois..Let's just talk about Lois, shall we?
Okay, so let's just take this back from what happened at work. As I made my way through the drastic hallways of the Daily Planet, I felt a familiar presence standing behind me. I turned and my man, Clark, was holding flowers in his hand.

He fixed his glasses and shyly said,"I am sorry about missing lunch, but I..I just wanted to repay you, darling. I-"

I cut Clark off by running into his arms, wrapping my legs around his waist tightly, and pulling him in for a kiss I longed so hard for.

Clark kissed back and held me tighter, before he slowly pulled away saying,"Am I forgiven?"

I giggled and nuzzled my nose against Clark's, while he leaned in closer to my face. I smiled and enjoyed his comfort, before I heard a feminine groan that had been testing me for the longest.

Lois rolled her eyes and scoffed saying,"Could you not? Some of us actually care about our job and want to make a living, not just off of our flying boyfriend."

Honestly, I was surprised Lois had a said a word about Clark and I, or even told his identity yet, but I knew she was waiting for the perfect moment to strike. She brushed past me, which caused me to lose it. I quickly put out my foot, which caused her to trip.

I grabbed her by her neck and slammed Lois against the wall saying,"Listen here, Ms. Lane. You are going to respect me and go by my rules, or I will show you what real pride and dedication looks like. You just happen to be in front of the best of her class and best black belt. What was that? That sounds like victory.."

I dropped Lois, and she immediately tried to catch her breath.

I just smirked and made my way down the hall, only for Clark to pull me back and said,"Y/N, why did you do that?"

I looked back at Clark and blankly said,"Because she deserved it. I am not just going to sit back anymore and let that girl tell me what to do. You are my boyfriend, and she just has to learn that, whether it is the hard way or not.."

Clark did not know what to say, but he pulled me close and nuzzled his nose against mine saying,"I am yours? Now that, I can live with, sweetheart. I should get back to work, Perry is not that flattered with me right now.."

I had to hold in a giggle, because Perry was not Clark's biggest fan right now. Perry wanted Clark writing on sport's articles, but Clark insisted on writing on Batman's behavior and sudden appearance. I did not blame Clark, but I would rather him not get fired by the end of the day.

I sat down at my desk and noticed flowers sitting on it. I read the note and this one was also from Lex. I sighed, because he probably wanted to see me again for something. I just gave them to one of my closest friends, before I waited on Clark to get done with his work.
Lois would constantly send glares my way, but they were not really doing any damage. I rolled my eyes and kissed Clark, making sure she could see.

Clark kissed back and intertwined his fingers with mine, before he picked me up bridal style and said,"Lets go home, beautiful.."

I smiled and leaned on Clark's chest, before he flew us home. Luckily, it was beautiful outside, and the moonlight was clear in sight. I looked in awe at the sky while Clark stroked my cheek lovingly.

I leaned into his touch and mumbled,"Superman?"

Clark hmmed in response before I asked him,"Do you believe in love at first sight?"

Clark smiled looking away for a minute, then he replied,"I met you, didn't I? Not everyone believes in it, but I do. When it came to you, I immediately grew to have feelings for you...and I did love you as time progressed. I will always love you.."

As Clark said that, I immediately thought of Whitney Houston's version and hummed to myself.

Clark smiled and listened to my voice, while we made our way towards his house. Once we arrived, Clark carefully let me down, before he headed down the stairs.
I pulled out my phone and plugged it into the speakers, before I turned to my song. As Whitney's voice filled the room, I sung along with her. I was not the best singer in the world, but it made me happy every chance that I did have to have something that I liked to do.

Clark walked back in the room and asked me,"Darling, may I have this dance?"

I smiled, but I stood to my feet and walked over to Clark. I rested one hand on his shoulder, then I intertwined with his using my right hand. Clark kissed both of my hands, before he began to waltz us around the room. It was moments like these where nothing else mattered in the world: like Lois, the press, or even Luthor.
