Chapter 56

   Y/N'S POV

  No one ever understood the struggle, until you were the one in the hospital bed trying to deliver a baby. I always thought the women on TV were just being too dramatic, but now I fully understood their pain.
  
  I pushed for the thousandth time and sweat poured down my face.

  Superman was holding my hand saying,"Sweetheart, just keeping pushing, okay? You are doing great.."

  I sighed and nodded, before the doctor said,"C'mon, Y/N..You are doing well. Just a few more pushes and you will be done."

  That was all the inspiration I needed, because I knew it had been hours since I first started pushing.

  I pushed again and squeezed Clark's hand, before he winced in pain and I weakly said,"S..sorry, Clark."

 
   Clark kissed my forehead, before he stayed there for a minute. I smiled and pushed again, while the doctors encouraged me to keep on pushing.

    5 HOURS LATER....

  The main doctor said,"One more push, Y/N, I see the head."

  Clark smiled and looked so excited. I pushed one more time. Then, I heard a baby cry, before I sighed in relief. Clark laughed. I really don't know what was funny, but I didn't have the energy to hit him.
  
  Clark wiped my forehead, the doctor took our child.

  She smiled saying,"It's a girl. Congratulation, Mrs. Kent."

  She handed me my child, before I smiled at my new-born baby girl.

  Clark had tears in his eyes and I asked him,"What do you want to name her, baby?"

   Clark smiled saying,"Let's name her Jade."

  I smiled down at my baby girl and said,"That's a beautiful name, Kansas. Jade it is. Want to hold her?"

  Clark nodded, before I gently handed Jade to him. As I watched Clark hold Jade in his arms, I immediately remembered about Batman, well Bruce. I wondered if he had stayed the entire time.
  
  I asked one of the nurses,"Do you think you could get Batman for me or see if he is still here?"

   The nurse seemed to get real excited and I smiled, before she nodded and made her way out of the room. If you were confused about the whole me calling Superman "Clark," the doctors promised to keep this between us. I was hesitant about it at first, but Clark being the Boy scout he was, offered to let the doctors and nurses present in my room meet their favorite heroes in honor of delivering his child.
  I was sure at that moment that they all wished they were the ones who married Clark instead of me. I laughed at the thought, which earned me a confused look from Clark. Jade even looked at me confused, while she held on to Clark's finger and stared into his eyes.

   Batman came walking in the room and noticed Jade in Clark's arms.

  Batman smiled saying,"Congratulations, Y/N and Clark. She is beautiful."

  I asked Bruce,"Do you want to hold her, Batman? Please..It's the least I can do after giving birth to the child you helped me protect. Please hold her."

  Batman nodded, before Clark handed Jade to Bruce. Jade played with his cape, while she leaned on him and kept on trying to reach for Bruce's cowl. Batman leaned her closer to him, before Jade played with his ears and was really enjoying all the different things on Bruce's Batman suit.
  I just smiled, before Batman placed a kiss on Jade's forehead and handed her back to the nurse. I said my goodbyes to Jade, before they went to take care of her.

  Superman took my hand and kissed it saying,"When are we going to tell everyone about her?"

   I answered him saying,"Maybe we should have a party or get together. I mean, I didn't even have a baby shower or anything. I completely forgot, so maybe we should make Jade a surprise."

  Clark nodded saying,"You should try to get some sleep, sweetheart. I know you are tired..You have just delivered our child."

  I laughed and said,"Right. Actually, I am not that-"

  Batman narrowed his eyes at me sternly saying,"Y/N, get some sleep. As Clark said, you need it and I agree with him. We will leave and give you your space, but even you need it."

  I could not help but smile at Bruce, before he smiled back at me saying,"Yeah, I know. You are welcome."

  Before Batman walked out, I yelled,"LOVE YOU!!"

  Batman just laughed, before he left. I turned to Clark and he put his forehead on mine, before he leaned in and kissed me. I kissed back, before he squeezed my hands and pulled away from the kiss.
  Clark sent me one more smile, before he left out and it did not take long for my exhaustion to kick in and sleeping was no problem.
