Y/N'S POV
Batman ended up bringing Clark to the Batcave, where he received medical attention from one of his most trusted allies, Doctor Leslie Thompkins. Leslie had always been there for Bruce, so I knew she could help Clark. I..I needed her to help him.
As Leslie worked on Superman, I could not help but get up and stand beside her. Leslie looked over at me and sent me a soft smile, before she turned and focused back on Clark.
As she tended his wound, I rubbed my arms saying,"Thank you, Leslie. I do not know how to repay you. Do you-"
Leslie shook her head and kindly said,"No, honey, there is no need for any money. I do not mind helping others; especially a friend of Bruce's. This is pretty cool, isn't it?"
Leslie was referring to the Batcave; I nodded in agreement.
I chuckled and looked at the exhibits saying,"Yeah, Bruce knows his stuff. Then again, he is Batman. I never understand that particular look in his eye, until Alfred had the pleasure of telling me his background. I do not see how I would have gone through that, because I still have the pleasure of seeing my parents every once and a while."
Leslie nodded and said,"Yeah, it took much outside help and support to get Bruce back to the right mindset. He realized he could use that pain to help others not suffer like he did. For that, I am proud of him..Unfortunately, I am not very familiar with many capes.."
I giggled at her reference to Superman, but I held his hand saying,"This, Ms. Thompkins, is Superman. Superman watches over Metropolis, but you are more than welcome to call him Clark or Kal-el. He prefers Clark, though. Clark lost his parents many years ago, but luckily Mr. And Mrs. Kent found him."
Leslie nodded and we heard footsteps coming from the top of the stairs. We turned and saw Bruce and Diana walking down. Bruce kissed my forehead, while Diana pulled me in for a hug. I hugged back and felt so grateful for those I had with me.
Diana pulled away, while Bruce put a hand on my shoulder saying,"It is all right, Y/N. Clark will push through; especially knowing that that special someone is waiting on him to get better. I am going to go check on Mrs. Kent.."
I could not help but smile and nod. Bruce smiled back and kissed my forehead, before he jogged up the stairs.
Diana laughed and said,"I think that is rather soft of Bruce, don't you think?"
I nodded in agreement but softly said,"Bruce just wanted a second chance at saving another life; especially one that reminded him of his mother. Let's give him this opportunity to make a difference in Mrs. Kent, too. She is worried about Clark, as well."
Diana nodded and introduced herself to Leslie, which intrigued her very much. Leslie loved Diana's personality and wanted to know more about where she came from. Diana just smiled and gently patted my shoulder, which made me turn. I looked down, only for Superman to be awake.
"The least you could do is give me a hug, darling.."
I chuckled weakly, before I threw myself at Clark.
Clark hugged back and buried his face in my neck, while I cried softly saying,"Don't you ever scare me like that again. I was-"
I was cut off by Clark gently covering my mouth. Then, he just held me in his arms. I let him hold me and placed a kiss on his face.
Clark relaxed and held my hand, until he turned to Leslie and said,"Thank you, Ms. Thompkins. Here.."
I knew what Clark was about to do, so I slapped his hand away.
Clark groaned and held his hand, while I giggled softly saying,"Bad Clark.."
Clark just smiled and rolled his eyes, which made Leslie smile.
Bruce groaned and looked at Diana saying,"Did they have to do this here? They know they are not the only ones, right?"
I immediately pulled away from Clark and looked Bruce dead in the eye. I thought it would scare Bruce, but it did absolutely nothing.
I pouted and whined saying,"You can not even act scared? Huh, Bruce, I will get you later."
Bruce chuckled and just looked to the side, while I helped Clark back to his feet. Leslie and I exchanged numbers just in case something went wrong in Clark's condition. I thanked her again, before I drove Clark back to Metropolis.
Once we made it home, I immediately sighed in relief and brought Clark to my bedroom. He headed towards the bed, before he crashed and just put his face in the pillow. I giggled and smiled getting in beside him, before Clark grabbed me and snuggled into me.
I squealed in surprise, but made sure Clark was settled.
Once he was, I kissed his nose and said,"Sweet dreams, Superman. I will be right here, okay?"
Clark nodded and kissed my jaw, before he quickly fell asleep in my open embrace.
