    Y/N'S POV

On our way back to Metropolis, I couldn't stop admiring the ring on my finger. Clark looked over at me and just smiled a majority of the time, but we both knew this would be a big step for the both of us.
I couldn't wait till I told everyone I knew, while Clark just seemed really casual about all of this. I knew on the inside, he was very excited, too. I bet I was more excited than him, I mean, who wouldn't want to be Mrs. Kent? If you didn't, something was really wrong...

When we finally made it back, Krypto rushed down the stairs and licked Clark's face. Clark chuckled, but smiled and played with him for a second. Krypto, then, jogged over to me and nuzzled his head against my arm. I rubbed his side gently.
I smiled and kissed his head, before I carried Krypto inside. I was surprised, because Krypto normally liked to be free and run around. Maybe it's because we had been gone for a long time now..

Krypto barked loudly at seeing the ring on my finger, which caused Mom to come running out of the kitchen. Yeah, we kept her here, just in case Krypto needed some company. Kara and Conner were out doing hero stuff, so Krypto had to have some guidance. I smiled and sat down with Krypto in my lap, before I purposely held out my hand for Mom. Mom's E/C eyes immediately lit up and she squealed, before she attacked me in a motherly hug.

Tears formed in her eyes and I wiped them saying,"Mom, please don't cry.."

Mom shook her head and cupped my face saying,"You're growing up on me, so I'm gonna cry. Oh no, my makeup is dripping.."

I giggled, which earned me a gentle hit in the arm from Mom. Mom kissed my cheek and Clark's, before she headed upstairs.

Clark smiled and wrapped his arms around me saying,"Well, she took that better than expected, huh?"

I nodded and looked up at Clark saying,"Baby, you really want to marry me?"

Clark looked at me confused, but he brought our hands up to his face saying,"Of course I do, darling. I've wanted nothing more than for the day to come where I'd be able to see you walking down the aisle in that beautiful dress that would make me so weak and happy at the same time. I want this, I really do.."

I smiled at Clark's words, while he smiled back and sent me a wink. He ended up bringing us to the terrace, and I noticed Clark had disappeared from behind me.

I just shook it off, before I heard a voice say,"Down here.."

I instantly looked down and stumbled back at seeing Superman a few centimeters away from our terrace.

Superman flew up to where he was only inches away from my face and worriedly said,"Are you all right, sweetheart? I'm sorry.."

I brushed it off and stroked Clark's cheek. I chuckled and leaned forward saying,"It's okay, Man of Steel, I'm not mad. I'm just trying to get past those blue eyes."

Once I leaned forward enough, I ended up falling and instantly screamed, but I sighed in relief at feeling those familiar strong arms holding me tightly.

I pouted and said,"Clark, you did that on purpose!!"

Superman chuckled, and I noticed we were getting farther away from the house. I just went along with it and snuggled into Superman's arms.

He smiled down at me, before we dodged a few buildings and he ended the silence saying,"Have you ever wanted to fly, Y/N?"

I was caught off-guard by Clark's question, but I answered truthfully,"Yes, I've wanted to, but my fear of heights always held me back."

Superman loosened his grip on me, and I instantly panicked.

He shushed me and said,"Hey, we're getting through this together, okay? Slowly, I'm going to let go, okay? Just close your eyes and get to a place where it feels comfortable to not know what's in front of you, or even behind you.."

I nodded and took deep breaths. To comfort me, Superman placed sweet and soft kisses all over my face. That encouraged me more that I was actually gonna do this, while I suddenly closed my eyes.
I whimpered at first at Superman's little loss of touch, but realized he was gonna be there for me any time I needed him to be.

That's it Y/N, just keep on pushing..You're doing great..Just hold on..

The more comfortable I got, the more Clark loosened his grip on me. It got to the point where I didn't feel anything, but the cool breeze rushing across my face. That was when I realized I was actually falling. I, normally would scream, but it felt..amazing and great at the same time.
Maybe this was what Wendy and Peter Pan felt like, because I loved this feeling..I'd never forget it..and I actually pouted when I ended up back in Clark's arms again.

Superman chuckled and kissed me saying,"I'm proud of you, darling, and I can't wait till the day you become my wife. You're incredible in your own way. I hope you know that."

I smiled and leaned on Superman, while he continued to fly through the skylines of Metropolis. Reminding me that I was never alone, no matter how fast the wind was rushing against my face. Sometimes, it was nice to not feel like the world will come to an end at any moment.
