--------------------------------
Vincent was right the week did fly by probably way faster than I thought it would and for that I was thankful. It was a nightmare trying to shove everything into my suitcase. I packed everything from sandals, high heels, bathing suits, bras and panties, tank tops, shorts, capris, workout clothes, some dresses and some nice shirts. I of course over packed but I just wanted to be prepared for every possible situation.I asked Vincent where we were going but he just said 'it's a surprise and to bring warm clothes because it's going to be hot.' So I packed a little bit of everything. I finally zipped my bag shut and rolled it into the living room where everyone was waiting to tell us bye.
"I still can't believe you are leaving us for a whole weekend!" Sarah fake cried with a playful smile on her face. Even though we were only going to be gone three days I was going to miss my friends, they've became more like family over the past few months.
"I know! It's going to be so boring without you!" Rachel added on and I gave them a sarcastic glare. They could be dramatic at times, but couldn't we all?
"Oh please you both will be fine! I'll be back in no time! I love you guys enjoy your peaceful weekend off." I winked at them I knew they would no doubt enjoy their one on one time with their boyfriends.
"You're right maybe this weekend won't be so bad." Bethany smiled softly. I was glad that I had made such awesome friends who I had gotten so close with.
"Alright Annabelle its time to get going. I'll load up the car come outside when your done telling them bye. Goodbye girls have a good weekend but whatever you do please don't catch my house on fire or damage it in any way." Vincent teased them but in a serious tone and they all gasped in horror.
"Hey that was one time and it was an accident!" Rachel defended herself.
"What happened?" I asked slowly curious about what had happened.
"I was attempting to cook dinner and the stove caught on fire... The fire department came it was not pretty." Rachel's head hung low in embarrassment and Vincent and I both started laughing.
"Don't laugh!" Rachel whined like a little girl who's mom took away her favorite toy.
"Rach you've came a long way since then. Don't beat yourself up about it." I wrapped my arms around her giving her a comforting hug.
"You're right. Okay go enjoy your weekend away with your lover boy." She winked at me and started to push me towards the door.
"Okay! Bye girls I'll see you in three days." I waved to them and went outside with Vincent. We made sure the car was loaded then we hit the road trying to beat traffic.
The car ride was eight hours long. I tried asking Vincent where we were going but he told me 'it's a surprise' I asked a few more times but I got the same answer every time like it was a recorded conversation. We listened to music and made small talk both of us eager for some time away from our everyday lives.
We went down a bunch of windy roads until the car finally came to a stop. Vincent put the car in park and we both got out of the car. The view was breathtaking. There was a beautiful beach house. It reminded me a lot of Vincent's house except it was a one story. The house was made of wood and stone. It had a homey feeling to it. There were shutters on the windows, there was a long gravel driveway that led to the house, there was a wrap around porch. The best part of it all was that there were no neighbors in sight.
"Wow this place is-" I started to say my voice full of admiration.
"Beautiful isn't it?" Vincent asked me. I had forgotten he was right beside me. I was so mesmerized with this place.
