Happy Friday people! This chapter is a filler chapter but keep reading and be patient with me...juicy stuff coming soon :)

"So he didn't say anything? He just let you leave?" Natalie asked me for the thousandth time. I called her when we were on our way home and she met us at my house and she's been with me the past two days. The first day I just laid and cried and didn't talk at all and I knew that today I owed her an explanation.

"He doesn't want me anymore." I shrugged and she looked at me with disbelief.

"What are you not telling me Belly Welly?" She asked me with sad eyes wanting the truth and I sighed loudly knowing that it would be easier to say it now than to let it eat her alive.

"I'm pregnant." I looked down and the tears started to pool in my eyes.

"WHAT?!" She yelled with a shit eating grin on her face not even trying to hide her excitement.

"I'm having a baby." I smiled weakly at her. She wrapped her arms around me and was bouncing on the bed beside me.

"I'm going to be an aunt!" She yelled at the top of her lungs practically bursting my eardrums.

"Do your parents know?" She asked me and I nodded.

"Yeah I told them last night, it was awful. They were so upset and wanted to kill Vincent." At the sound of his name coming out of my mouth my heart tightened inside of my chest.

"He knows you're pregnant and he still sent you away?" She asked confused.

"That's why he sent me away." I informed her and she looked shocked and angry all at once.

"I'm going to kill him!" She jumped up from beside me and started pacing around the room ranting.

"Yeah well join the club because the list just keeps growing." I sighed loudly and threw myself backwards on the bed. I picked up my phone checking to see if I had any missed calls or texts from Vincent but I didn't. Not that I expected him to just up and call me but part of me wish he would.

"How far along are you?" Nat asked as she flopped down on the bed beside me.

"I don't know for sure but I'm at least two months because that's how long I was in that hell hole. My mom made a doctors appointment for tomorrow if you want to come with." Her eyes lit up like the Fourth of July.

"Of course I will! I'd love to." She started squeaking and bouncing around while clapping her hands.

"Lay down let's get some sleep we have to wake up early." I patted the bed beside me and she climbed in and we we laid there and talked like old times until we both passed out.

"Girls wake up I made breakfast." My mom kindly woke us up.

"You think she made pancakes?" Natalie asked with a goofy grin on her face. Leave it to her to be excited about pancakes.

"You're serious?" I playfully teased.

"Your mom makes the best pancakes! I haven't had them in months woman don't judge me." She shrugged as she jumped out of bed and I crawled out behind her.

"Well let's go find out!" I clapped my hands ushering her towards the kitchen.

"Yay pancakes!" Nat squealed and pilled her four on her plate.

"You're ridiculous!" I teased as I made my own plate and sat down and ate in a comfortable silence.

"Aright lets get going or we are going to be late." My mom instructed, we put our dishes in the sink and then left the house.

When we got to the clinic I filled out the paperwork that the receptionist gave me and then gave the forms back to her. I sat back down and fidgeted with my fingers nervously. I was nervous that something was wrong with the baby. Being shot and the amount of stress I'm under isn't good for me or the baby. Vincent doesn't want anything to do with either one of us and that makes my chest feel like it's caving in.

"Annabelle Romano." A doctor smiled as she called my name. We got up and followed the nurse down a hallway and into a room. She took my height, weight, and all of my other vitals.

"I'm Amber Stevens I'll be your doctor if you continue to come here during the rest of your pregnancy."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Annabelle. This is my mom Mary and this is bestfriend Natalie." I gestured to both of them and they politely smiled at Amber.

"Follow me let's go have a look at your baby." Amber scribbled some notes down on her clipboard and then lead us into a different room.

"Go ahead and have a seat and we will do an ultrasound. Have you been having any bleeding, cramping, fatigue?" She asked in a more serious professional tone.

"No, but I was shot about a week ago so other than the healing from that I'm not in any pain." I informed her.

"Your doctor at the hospital faxed over your medical charts so I know what to look for. Let's see how that patch is holding up." She squirted some gel on my stomach and started to roll the wand on my stomach. My nerves were going haywire worrying about the baby and if everything was alright. After a few seconds that felt like minutes she started making confused faces at the screen which only worried me more.

"Is everything okay?" I asked shakily. She turned the monitor where I could see it better.

"This right here is the patch, it's holding perfectly no fluids are coming out or going in, so that's a very good sign. The baby has a very strong heartbeat 157 beats a minute." Relief swam through my body knowing that so far everything was okay.

"Oh thank God!" My mom exclaimed, she was worried too. We all were. Everyone was worried except the one person I wanted here the most.

"You're about fourteen weeks along, so far everything is looking really good. I'm going to write you a prescription for prenatal vitamins and you need to stay on bed rest for at least another month just to make sure the patch holds. I'm going to need to see you back here a month from today. Maybe then we will be able to find out the sex!" She winked at me and shook each of our hands.

"Thank you so much." I smiled with relief in my veins.

"Maybe you could bring the dad next time. I'm sure he would want to be here when you find out the sex." She kindly suggested. I wanted to slap her for even mentioning him but it wasn't her fault. Normally couples do this stuff together, she didn't know that I was doing this on my own.

"He doesn't want anything to do with me or the baby. I'm doing this alone." Tears pooled my eyes and my heart shattered once again.

"Well that's okay too. You have a great support system which is good especially since you are having a high risk pregnancy. Go home and get some rest I'll see you back here in a month." Dr. Stevens grabbed my hand reassuringly.

The car ride back to the house was completely silent. I didn't say any thing because I had nothing to say, my world felt like it was falling apart and I was tearing at the seams.
