Monday Morning.
"I hate we have to be up at like 6. Just because of traffic here..." Riley sighed, as she headed into the kitchen.
"One con to live here. LA traffic" Her mom smiled, sliding over a plate of toast towards her.
"One con?" Riley smirked, before she sat at the table. Eating a slice, she sighed as she looked at her phone. "So, the only reason why your taking me today is because Harper and Scarlett headed in early. Scarlett needed to hand something in" Riley nodded.
"How nice. New friends not picking you up, and your old mom taking you to school" Her mom joked. "First, they arent best friends yet. Second, you are not my old mom!" Riley frowned at her. "Whats wrong this morning? Your not being as sarcastic as usual?" Her mom sat opposite her.
"Must be a beautiful morning." Riley smiled. "I hear the birds." She giggled, as she ate some toast.
After eating breakfast Riley cleaned up dishes, before putting them back.
"The sky is beautiful here." Her mom stared about the back window in the kitchen. "Yeah, and its not cold like home" Riley dried her hands off on a dishcloth. "I love how dad loves to have long lies, when I have to go to school..." Riley raised an eyebrow. Her mom gave her a look, with a small smile.
The door went.
Frowning at each other, Riley and her mom exchanged a look.
"Early post here, that knocks?" Riley joked, as she headed out the kitchen. She walked down her hallway, and turned the lock on the door before opening it. She gasped a little inside as Levi stood grinning at her.
Nirvana shirt with his earphones hanging out from the front of it, jeans and converse.
"Um...." She spoke up. "Good morning! I heard that...Harper and Scarlett headed in early so, the boys and I are being good people and offering you a ride" He smiled nodding. Riley stared at him, shocked.
"Uh yeah...they are." Was all she could answer. "And traffic sucks in the morning too." Levi told her. "My uh...my mom was going to take me..." She stuttered a little. "Austin has his car, we always get a lift from him" He then pointed and Riley popped her head out the door, she saw three guys waving from a red convertible type car without the roof.
Get picked up by four cute guys to go to school? .... Check?
"There is not enough room in that car." She then chuckled nervously. "Fits five...your the fifth" Levi smiled at her. Riley quickly, and strangely decided. "Let me get my bag" She then smiled. "Awesome!" He nodded, before Riley headed into her living room.
"Who is that?" Her mom asked. "New friends? ... they know Harper and Scarlett. Uh, got a ride. See you later mom" Riley kissed her moms cheek. "Uh...be careful!" Her mom told her, as Riley waved a little.
She got to her front door, and headed out closing it behind her. Levi stood waiting at the car, to let her in first.
"Oh, thanks..." She smiled, getting in the back with Nate. Levi jumped in, making Austin move his seat back into position. "Cool car" Riley then commented, as she tried to ignore Levi's cologne making its way up her nose. "Thank you very much" Austin smiled. "Morning!" Drew then turned and smiled. "Morning." She repeated, as she nodded to Nate and Drew.
"So where too....?" Austin spoke before chuckling. Riley looked at him, then Drew. "I'm joking. School it is" He nodded. "Actually, skipping school to drive around LA sounds cool" Riley nodded with a smile. The guys all looked at her.
"Am I a misfit now...?" She then smiled. "No." Austin chuckled, as he shook his head. "You're in the club" He told her, before the car revved up. He drove off down the street, as the breeze blew through Riley's hair.
