The next day.

Mall, with mom.

"Oh this is a nice shirt" Penny smiled as she held a blue shirt to Riley. "Mhm" Riley nodded, before she looked down at her phone.

"You could at least look happy" Penny shook her head, with a small smile as she put it back on the railing.

"I am...I just dont like it for me. If you do, you get it" Riley told her. "You've not had colour in your closet, since you were like...15 honey" Her mom smirked, as she looked at another shirt. Riley sighed.

"I just...have my own style now." Riley told her. "You cant live in band merch all your life" Her mom scoffed. "I can until whenever I decide to stop" Riley nodded with a grin, making her mom laugh quietly. "Do you want new stuff?" Her mom then asked.

"Yes. Please" Riley smiled. "Well, we'll go find a band store after this one okay?" Her mom gave in smiling as she walked a few feet away from her.

Riley stood and looked at some nice ankle boots with chunky heels. They were quite nice.

Reaching up the shelf to take them down, someone's arms wrapped around her waist making her gasp a little with fright.

"Helloooo" Levi spoke into her ear. "Oh my...gosh! Levi!" She turned, ripping from him grip and shoving him. Nate stood beside him laughing. "You idiots! I thought someone tried to grab my purse!" She got her breath back, from the slight panic.

"Boo!" Nate chuckled. "You asses" Riley held her hand on her chest, before she laughed with them. "Sorry, did I scare you?" Levi then grinned at her, making a face. "Yes! You did!" Riley admitted, nodding.

"What are you two doing here?" She asked. "...We are meeting Austin and Drew before going to the beach." Nate nodded. "Yeah, play some basketball, skate along the beach" Levi then smiled at Riley. "You wanna come with?" He smiled, as he looked at her face.

"Um...." Riley then realized her mom was still there!

Turning, her mom was standing holding a shirt glancing back and forth.

"Actually...mom...this is my mom" Riley told the guys. "Oh." Levi, then turned bright pink, from his previous actions. "Hello!" Penny waved with a smile. "Hello! Its nice to meet you" Levi told her. "Yeah, you too" She nodded at him and Nate.

"Mom, this is Nate and...Levi" Riley nodded. "Its nice to meet you both" Penny told them, nodding before putting the shirt down and holding out her hand. Nate and Levi shook her hand before standing back again.

"Yeah, so I'm busy right now...." Riley nodded, as she looked at Levi.

"No worries!" He cleared his throat, before running his hand through his curls.

"But hey...if you're free later, I could meet you guys at the beach?" She asked him, hopeful. Levi smiled and nodded. "Later on. Around...five?" Nate asked her. "Awesome" Riley nodded. "Cool, see you later. Take care...nice to meet you." Levi then nodded to Penny.

"You too" Penny waved, as the boys walked away.

4pm

Back home.

"Ah, it was nice meeting your friends huh?" Riley's mom grinned as she pinned her hair up away from her face. "Yeah, it was cool..." Riley trailed off, as she took a bottle of water from the fridge.

"Attractive boys." Her mom then nodded. Riley looked at her wide eyed. "What?" She asked with a small smile. "Just saying, good looking boys" Penny smiled. "Y'think...?" Riley smiled, looking away. "Mhm...especially the one who had his arms around you" Penny smirked, making Riley go red.

"Mom..." She began. "Quiet! Dad may here..." Riley told her wide eyed. "Ah, no need to explain. Its fine." Penny told her nodding. "We're all just friends" Riley then told her nodding. Penny stared at her.

"....Okay" She nodded. "I'm going to go change." Riley sighed, as she left the room.
