Thursday Night.
"So...when we hitting our date night?" Nate asked Scarlet as they walked along the beach, with everyone else. "If that's how you ask me out, then you can forget it boy" She smirked, as she looked at him. Nate's smile half dropped before she shook his head.
"Nah, I didnt mean it like that. I mean like...I..." He began to stutter, and Scarlet laughed. "I'm joking, Nate" She nudged him. Nate smiled at her before he cleared his throat. "Scar...would you like to go out with me this weekend?" He then asked confidently. Scarlet turned to him, rather surprised. "I'd love too." She then nodded.
Nate grinned, before he held out his hand for Scarlet to take it.
"Awh look at them two" Harper smiled as she looked ahead to Scarlet and Nate as she and Austin walked together. "Rather cute huh?" Austin turned to her. "Yeah, real sweet" She bit her lip. "Hey, remember a couple to weeks ago...when we were all at mine?" Austin asked. Harper thought.
"You mean...when Riley moved here?" She asked, and he nodded. "That was nearly two months ago" She told him. "I know, same thing" He chuckled. "What about it?" She smiled. "Well...you kissed me." Austin told her, and she widened her eyes. "You kissed me back!" She defended. "Yeah, exactly. Then we've been tip toeing around each other..." He shrugged, before looking away.
Harper smiled warmly. "What are you saying?" She asked him. "I like you, Harper" He turned back to her. "I thought maybe..." He shrugged. "That I like you too?" She asked, and he stared at her. "Um..." He began. "I like you too, Austin" She then put her arm around his. A cheeky grin appeared on his face. She rested her head onto his shoulder for a moment, before walking straight again with him.
Riley stared out towards the ocean as it washed in and out from the beach. A small smile on her face. The sounds were soft, along with the motion of the water. Everything around her blurred out, as she focused on the water. She walked slower, and slower.
"Aahhh no way dude!" Levi shouted, and it managed to blurt her out of her zone. She turned, and looked at him and Drew who were ahead of her a little. "Calm down!" Drew laughed. "That's awesome, man. Proud of you" Levi patted Drew's back. "Hey guys!" Levi shouted, and everyone stopped and turned. Riley stopped beside them.
"Drew has a date on Saturday!" He told everyone. Drew went a little pink. "What!?" Harper grinned. "Ohh you didnt?! Did you?" Nate called.
Huh?
"Who is it?" Austin asked. "It's a girl, in my class. Her name is Jessica" He smiled. "Ooohhh" They all cooed. Except Riley, she smiled. "Ha, awesome! Look at you" Austin chuckled. "Okay, we get it. Moving on!" Drew laughed, as he continued to walk on.
Riley smiled, before she turned back to the water.
"Hey..." A soft voice spoke beside her. She looked up to see Levi smiling at her. "Hi." She spoke back. "You okay?" He asked. "Mhm, just thinking...zoning out" She admitted. "About..." Levi began, as he put a hand around her and onto her shoulder. Riley looked down at the sand before sighing.
"Just stuff." She shrugged him off, before walking on. Levi frowned, as he followed her. "Hey, hey" He asked her. She looked back at him. "You're not okay, what's wrong?" He asked her. "Nothing" She told him. "Then what was that?" He smiled, as he stopped her.
"Levi...nothings wrong. I'm fine" She told him. "Come on" She turned, and continued to walk. Levi stared, as she walked away behind everyone.
