"I can't believe he booked me an interview, a placement at a college I dont want to go too!" Riley quietly cried into her mom's arms.

Her mom tried to keep it together, as she breathed in and out. "I dont want to leave, mom...." Riley sniffed. "I know, honey" Her mom hugged her tight. "He can't make me. I refuse, there is no way I'm going back!" She told her.

"Right now...I hate to say it, but...there is no way around it" Her mom shook her head. Riley shut her eyes tight, making more tears escape her eyes.

Her mom was right.

"I'm not just going to be leaving my friends, but you! Mom I cant" Riley looked at her. Her mom stared at her, as she nodded before hugging her close. "He's gone insane, demanding he's going to be dropping off and picking me up from school. Dropping me off at the girls, and picking me up after an hour as he calls me in between! What the fuck!" She cursed.

"I'm going to talk to him" Her mom told her, trying to calm her down. "I'm not upset, I'm angry! How dare he, after everything he put us through not that long ago! He cant cheat on you, and then tell me how to live my fucking life!" Riley sat up. She wiped the tears away from her face, and shook her head.

"Calm down honey" Her mom tried to sooth her. "I'm tired to trying to stay calm! I'm tired of him trying to control my life!" She got up from the bed. "Riley" Her mom looked at her. Riley grabbed her school bag, and another bag. "What are you doing?" Her mom sighed. "I'm staying at Harper's, I refuse to be treated like a 5 year old!" Riley told her.

"This wont help." Her mom moved to the edge of the bed. "Is he going to lock me up?" She looked at her mom. "Of course not." Her mom shook her head. "Yeah well I have two parents! I dont need to do what he just tells me!" She shoved clothes into a bag. "Riley, baby this will not help. You need to calm down honey" Her mom took her arms.

Riley stopped as she began to breath in and out to keep calm.

"I cant do this mom..." She whispered. "I know. I know" Her mom took her in for a hug. "We're going to sort this, I'm going to sort it" Her mom told her. "The only way this will get sorted is through a court hearing" Riley joked. Her mom looked at her.

"No...mom..." Riley stared at her. "They might not be another choice. Once the divorce is finalized..." Her mom told her. "Oh my gosh, how did this get so fucked up!?" Riley turned away from her and held her hands to her head.

Riley's phone chimed, and her mom leaned over. Looking at the screen, she then picked it up. "Look, here..." Her mom stood up and handed her the phone. "Go, go do what you need to do" Her mom smiled. Riley looked at her phone screen, and saw Levi's name. Riley sighed, as she cleaned up her face and her hair.

She and her mom left her room and headed downstairs. She opened the front door. "Where you going?" Her dad asked walking down the hallway. "Out!" Riley snapped, without looking at him before she closed the door.

"If your going to chain her up like an animal, let her do her dues before so. You owe your daughter that much. You selfish pig!" Her mom stopped him, before drawing him a look. "You better hurry and get your bags packed!" She then told him, before walking off.

Riley stood at Levi's front door. She knocked a couple time, before she waited. The door then opened and Levi appeared. "Hey! I've been texting you" He smiled widely at her. She stared at him, emotionless. "Whats wrong?" He suddenly knew something was up. "Uhm...about that date, we need to take a rein check" She nodded, as tears filled her eyes.

"What? Whats happened?" He asked, her as she collapsed into his arms. "Riley, you're scaring me. Come on." He took her in, and closed the door before he walked into his living room with her. "Is you family here?" She asked, wiping under her eye. "Brother and sister, but their upstairs in their rooms." He held onto her hands.

Riley sniffed. "My dad saw us today." She told him. "What?" He asked. "He's put a placement in at UMW, booked an interview...Levi, he's taking me back to Wisconsin" She looked at him. She watched, as she could see in his face that his heart just shattered. "Wait...hold up." He spoke quietly, as he tightened his grip.

"You're kidding me right? He...he cant do that!" He screeched a little. "He is...we're leaving on the 19th" She nodded. "Three weeks?!" He asked her. "No. No, no way!" He shook his head, in disbelief. "Please, dont be mad" She looked at him. "I'm not mad! I'm..." He began before Riley took his face in her hands.

"You...made this move easy for me. As well as everyone else, and the girls...but you. You made me believe in something, I didnt think I could do." She told him quietly. "You're not leaving here, or me. I'm not letting you" He told her, as he touched her hand. "You're an amazing person Levi" She whispered.

"Why are you acting like this is goodbye?" He asked, his eyes became watery. "There is no way my dad will let me out of his sight. He's dropping me off and picking me up from school now." She nodded. "We can still see each other at school" He told her. "Dont...make this harder, please" Riley sniffed.

"Harder? Riley, I can't not speak to you! We were starting to get good...and..." He spoke. He stopped, then silence fell. "What about the competition?" He asked her. "There, is no way I'm missing that. Try and stop me" She gave him a small smile, but tears ran down her face.

Levi grabbed onto her as they hugged tight. He sat back, pulling her to him as she lay her head onto his shoulder. She sobbed quietly, as she held onto his hand. Levi took a deep breath. "Dont worry...it'll be okay" He held onto her.
