Friday night.

"Is there a reason why we waited till it was nearly dark out before...heading out?" Riley asked, as she and Levi walked along the street holding hands. "You'll see" He smiled. Riley nodded, before looking back at him. They had collected food from a food place, and Levi carried it with him.

"You said casual...but you called this a date" She told him. "I know." He smiled. Riley laughed wit herself, as she found herself heading to the skate park. "There is...a reason...why I left it till later" Levi told her, as they crossed the road.

"No one comes here at night..." He smiled. "No one?" She asked, surprised. "Nope, no one ever has" He told her, as they walked into the park. It was empty, he was right. It was quiet, as the orange sky was starting to get darker. "Well glad I wore converse, and not heels..." She giggled.

"We're not boarding" He told her. "So, why are we here?" She asked him. "I was looking earlier on for a place to hang out...I remembered a certain area here has the perfect over look." He told her, as they began to walk up small stairs. "Over look to what?" Riley asked, before they walked up a small slope.

Levi let go of her hand, as he jumped up onto a steep slope and put down the bag before he held out his hand. Riley smiled, as she grabbed onto him and hopped up too. She stood, and looked down to see a blanket with tea light candles. Battery operated ones. "To the view" He then told her, as she looked up to see the ocean and view below.

"Holy shit..." She whispered. "And if you look to your left...you'll see the lights, of the city of LA" He put on a voice, before he cracked a smile. "Casual wear, food, skate park..." She looked up at him. "Its perfect for us" He nodded. "You know us too well" She giggled. "Now I get the food...and waiting till night" She giggled.

Levi held his hand out, letting Riley sit before he sat too. "This is beautiful." Riley smiled.  "You're beautiful" Levi smiled with a chuckle. "Suck up..." Riley told him quietly, as she shook her head. Levi began to take food out the bag, as he organized it onto the blanket. Riley looked up to the ocean view again as she sighed.

"It's a shame I'm leaving this." She spoke. Levi stayed quiet. "Back to the wilderness" She let out a scoff as she shook her head. Still no words from Levi. "Better get to the music store, and make most of the mall time before heading back..." She began to tell him before Levi looked up at her with a serious look on his face.

"Can we...not talk about you leaving." He told her. "I can't avoid the inevitable..." She told him. "You dont need to talk about it right now...I mean." He then told her, as he folded up the bag. "It's just us, and I want it to be just us" He smiled. Riley sighed a little as she nodded. "Sorry..." She looked away from him.

"Dont apologize, you dont need too. I just want this to be about us, and not about you leaving. You havent left yet, you're sitting right here in front of me" He took her hand, as he intertwined their fingers. "...We'll still be able to talk right?" Riley then asked him. "Riley." Levi sighed, as he looked away from her.

"I'm serious." She looked at him, concerned. "Of course! There is no way we wont" He reassured her. "Do you seriously think I wont ever talk to you? Coz if so...you're crazy" He told her. "We're only two hours time difference" He smiled. Riley looked at him. "How did....you checked?" She giggled quietly.

"Yeah, I wasnt going to let you go without knowing the details. Also you only have two hundred thousand to population?" He asked. "Told you it was a small place" Riley shrugged. "...I dont even want to let you go" He then looked down, as he sighed. Riley's expression softened as she stared at him.

"Hey...I'm only a phone call away. There's video chat, text, phone call...then maybe I could come back, or you could come out to Wisconsin?" She asked. "Yeah...but, I wont be able to see you everyday. I wont be able to sit beside you, like this...hold you" He looked up at her. "Just when I stopped being a pussy, and asked you out...you're leaving me" He weakly chuckled.

"How did I end up liking you? ... You're worth so much more" She smiled warmly, as she pushed some of his curls from his face. "You're an amazing guy, Levi..." She sighed. "Don't talk like you're leaving me, please" He told her softly, as he closed his eyes. "I am..." She told him. "I mean, leaving me, leaving me" He widened his eyes.

"Does long distance really work?" She asked. He looked at her, slightly hurt and rather offended. "Are you serious?" He asked her. "Why do you want to wait around on me, when you can be out here...enjoying life with other people. Other girls?" She shrugged. "Riley! I dont want other girls...I want...I want you." He told her.

Riley smiled at him. "I'm no one special." She whispered. "You're special to me" He told her, holding her hand. Riley looked down, then shook her head. "You need to stop biting your nails" She spoke. Levi took their hands to his mouth as he kissed her hand.

Riley stared back at him. "We're going to make this work" She then told him, and a smile formed on his lips.

"Right come on...I'm starving!" She giggled, as she picked up food.
