Monday after school.
Mall.
"Isnt it good that you know what happened though?" Drew asked.
Everyone was sitting at a table, drinking some sodas.
Nate looked at him and kicked him a little under the table. "Ow!" Drew stared at him. Levi stared at him, frowning. "Bro..." He shook his head.
"What...sorry" Drew shrugged, before sipping on his straw.
"At least you found everything out now" Harper smiled at Riley, as she sat her hand on her shoulder. "Yeah, Riley. Your mom and dad will sort everything out now. It'll be all good!" Scarlett smiled warmly at her.
Riley sighed, as she shook her head.
"Or...not?" Scarlett then spoke up again.
"Did something happen?" Austin asked her. "Austin!" Harper warned him. "Sorry!" He quickly shook his head, sitting up. "No, no its fine. Honest" Riley smiled as she looked up from the table at everyone looking at her.
"I did speak with my dad. I was finally told what was going on..." Riley bit her lip. "They dont love each other anymore. They said they love me so much, but they are not in love with each other anymore. There is no point in staying together if they dont love each other" Riley sighed.
"Awh, Riles I'm so sorry!" Harper and Scarlett spoke.
"That sucks." Nate sighed, as he leaned on his arms. "Dude, little rough." Austin looked at him. "No!" Riley smiled a little. "Dont worry, seriously. Dont treat me like I'm going to break into a thousand pieces. Honestly, I get it." Riley told them all.
"Still. You came into school this morning and your face was...brave all day. You did work, and everything!" Harper told her. "Yeah...I guess I'm just stronger than I thought. Which I'm surprised with" Riley laughed quietly.
"You have us. We're here" Levi then told her, with a wide smile. Riley looked up, and locked eyes with him across the table as they smiled at each other.
"Yeah..." She then hesitated. "Or...not?" Austin spoke up. "My mom and dad...are splitting up. They told me, I could go back home...if I choose to live with my dad." Riley told them all.
"What?!" They all gasped.
"Wait! Why would they make you come here and start school, and meet people for you to go back?" Nate asked her.
"Nate! Bro, its her home!" Austin turned to him.
"I'm kinda on Nate's side..." Harper nodded. "Yeah, me too." Riley then agreed with them, as everyone looked at her.
"Fact is, I dont know when they'll decide to split. They enrolled me, because of that. They didnt want me out of school, for that amount of time because...its my last year and I need grades to graduate." Riley told them.
"Wow...." Scarlett sat back.
"Its all fucked up." Riley sat back too, as she smiled and let out a quiet laugh. "I'm just...my head is aching with it all now" She then sighed.
"...Well Levi's right! You have us right now. We're here for you!" Harper smiled, as she patted Riley's shoulder. "Thanks guys, I appreciate it. A lot" Riley smiled. She then reached out and grabbed her drink. "Lets just...forget about problems and do something good, hm?" Riley nodded before sipping.
"I second that" Austin nodded smiling.
Just then music started up, and got louder and louder before it bellowed from the speakers in the mall. "What the heck?" Riley looked around. Squeaking sounds of trainers ran across the floor they were on, as people - well girls - started to get more excited.
