Riley and Oscar had been talking for a while.

Getting to know each other, and talking about music.

As time went on, music got louder and louder through out the house.

It was getting to the stage where the both of them couldnt even hear each other, and they were right beside one another.

"I cant hear you...what?" Riley laughed, as she pointed to her ear. Oscar laughed shaking his head. "They really like the music!" Riley then shouted, making him nod in agreement. He leaned in towards her and held his hand to her ear.

"Do you want to sit outside? It's quieter?" He asked. Riley nodded, before they stood up. They turned and walked through a large dining room before walking out two large glass doors with fancy white frame work. It was much quieter outside, and it was quiet with only a couple of people.

Oscar walked over to a bench, and sat down. Riley sat too, as she sighed.

"They really love that pounding music" She told him. "Yeah, sorry about that. It's always the same" He chuckled "Anyway...you were saying. How exactly do you know my new friends?" She asked him with a smile.

"They didnt tell you?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "Briefly" She nodded. "Hm, lets see...well last year our schools in the district have this competition. Not exactly a competition, its friendly. The school artists, music department all kinda compete at this large studio up near Hollywood." Oscar began.

"We dont usually apply, because we're just outside the district, but because a school had to pull out of the event, we were the closet school. We got picked. English for poems, there's choirs, and just people who like music in general." Oscar nodded.

"Is it acapella?" Riley asked. "It can be yeah. Whatever you want to do, as long as its in the rule book" Oscar smiled. "So yeah, we met there. Got to know everyone and the guys were like the only other band. So we thought oh cool, so thats how we know them" He nodded.

Riley frowned a little with a smile. "Yeah...who won?" She then asked. Oscar chuckled, as he looked away. "Ahh, okay. I get it now..." Riley caught on. "We werent a shoe in. We just...got lucky" He told her. "Mhm, so is that why there is a little atmosphere?" She asked, nodding.

"That's mostly between Omar and Nate." Oscar shrugged.

Levi too, the way it seemed.

"Drew..." She then held in her laugh. "Okay fine, we're not the best of friends but...I dont hate them." He told her laughing. "No, course not! You just won the competition that they love doing, and always place at." She laughed.

"Hey, they can still qualify for this year." He told her. "Well I hope they do." Riley nodded, before clearing her throat.

"...So has anyone here...caught your eye yet?" Oscar asked her, smirking.
Riley looked at him, as her cheeks flushed a little pink. "Um..." She then shrugged. "Do you think...maybe we could hang out again? Like...just us?" He asked, with a smile.

Riley stared at him, rather shocked. This has never happened before. Was he joking? He was joking, right?

"Uh..." Was all she could really manage to say right now. "I dont know. Is it worth my while?" She then asked, making him grin. "I'd like to make it, yes" He nodded. "We have local bands here, every Friday and Saturday night. We could go to one?" He asked.

This was real, holy shit!

"I'm pretty busy. I'd have to get back to you about it" She then told him. In all honesty, she liked him. He seemed cool, and he was cute but...there was just something that didnt click with him. He was a nice guy, but she didnt fancy him.

She didnt know how to even know what it was like to get asked out, never mind decline a guy!

"Oh right." Oscar smiled a little, as he nodded. "Could...I still get your number in case you are free?" He asked. Oh gosh, she couldnt decline him again.

"Yeah, sure." She took out her phone. "I'll put it in my phone" She told him. He told her a number, and then she saved it and texted. His phone then beeped, and he chuckled taking it out his back pocket of his jeans. "Got it" He nodded.

He hit his phone lightly off his other hand, as he smiled. "You seem really cool Riley." He nodded. "Thanks, so do you" She rolled her lips together.

Levi and Drew stood in the living room, looking around.

"Shit, I thought those girls were never going to leave" Drew sighed, as he wiped his hands over his face before yawning. "You stood there, I wanted to leave. I was getting a drink for Riley and I..." Levi shot him an annoying look.

"Sorry! I didnt know they were going to go on and on about themselves..." Drew shook his head. "Where did Riley go...?" Levi then asked. "Oh, see! Drew!" He shoved his shoulder a little. "Chill, she's probably with the girls" Drew told him.

"Hey!" A voice then accommodated a hand on Drew's shoulder making him and Levi turn. Austin stood with Harper. "There you guys are!" He chuckled. "This party blows. Big time" Harper nodded. "Tell me about it" Levi huffed.

Austin nodded. "Have you seen Riley?" Levi then asked them. "No, why?" Harper asked. "She was here...now she's gone" He sighed. "Maybe she's with Nate and Scarlett" Austin smiled. "Who's with us?" Nate walked over, with Scarlett.

"Riley...." Harper then spoke. "Not seen her" Scarlett shook her head. "He's been having a heated head banging session with Omar. Full of sarcastic remarks, and piss talking." Scarlett then told everyone. "Dude, let it go." Austin chuckled.

"He fucking pisses me off. I seriously dont like him" Nate frowned, teeth gritting a little. "Ugh, can we just go. This was a waste of time" Drew laughed. "Wait, so where's Riley?" Levi asked. "You left her on her own?" Harper looked at Levi.

"We went to go get drinks, and we got stopped and chatted too. We didnt know they were going to take a lifetime to talk about themselves." Drew shrugged. "You left Riley on her own, to talk to girls...oh wow. Nice one, dorks!" Harper slapped their arms.

"Oi...!" Levi frowned rubbing his arm. "Look I'm sure she's fine. Lets just go look for her, then we can get out of here" Scarlett nodded. "I'm going this way." Levi sighed, as he turned and headed out towards the lounge.

He searched through people and small groups as he made his way into the dining room. He turned towards the kitchen, before sighing and turning to the back doors. He took out his phone, to call her before he stopped.

He stared through the glass, as he watched Riley laughing with someone. It was Oscar. Levi stood staring, holding his phone before his eyes turned slightly hurt. Clearing his throat, he walked away.

She isnt into him, who was he kidding.

"Hey, you find Riley?" Drew then asked, walking in front of him. Levi looked up, before Harper stood with them. "I'm calling her, its fine." She sighed.

"Hey...where you are you? ... Oh okay, yeah...yeah, we're leaving now. We're in the lounge, I think. Okay, bye..." Harper giggled, as she hung up. "She's still here, thankfully" She drew Levi a look.

"I just want to go home" Scarlett sighed. "I knew we shouldnt have came here. I'll take you out properly, okay?" Nate smiled to Scarlett. "Oh...Is this a date?" She smirked, making him chuckle and nod. "You betcha" He told her, putting an arm around her.

Levi rolled his eyes, as he turned. Riley stood in the dining room, Oscar had his arms around her hugging. He frowned, and turned back to everyone else, they hadnt noticed.

"Hey there" Riley smiled. "Ah there you are!" The girls grinned. "Having fun?" Austin joked. "No." She then laughed. "Great! So we're going home" Scarlett nodded. "Ah finally!" Riley laughed. "Lets get out of this crap hole!" Nate laughed, as he walked out with Scarlett.

Drew walked out with Austin and Harper.

"Hey, you okay?" Riley then asked Levi who was still standing frowning. "Hm?" He snapped out of his trance and turned to her. "Oh...yeah" He nodded, before he walked away from her, following the others.

Riley frowned. What was that about?
