Riley stared at her computer screen, as she sat on skype to her best friends Bella and Ashlee.

' Not having it? '

Bella asked with a smile.

' I wasnt popular in Wisconsin, who says I'm going to fit in here? It's Hollywood ' Riley disagreed with Ashlee's thought.

' We didnt have to be, we are awesome the way we are. ' Bella grinned.

' Mhm... ' Riley sighed.

' Hey, we're jealous right now. Even the school is talking about you, small town girl away to live in the big city! ' Ashlee nodded.

' It's Los Angeles, not New York. ' Riley smiled.

' Hello! Cali-freakin-fornia! ' Ashlee shouted a little, making Bella shove her to the side.

' Yeah well thank my dad for that...bastard. ' Riley cursed under her breath.

' Riley.... ' The girls spoke in sync.

' I know. ' Riley told them, so sure.

' Babe, you dont know. ' Bella sighed.

"Riley!" Her mom's voice shouted. "I gotta go, wish me luck here girls" Riley got off her new bed. "Good luck babe, even though you dont need it!" Bella grinned. "Bye honeyyy!" Ashlee blew a kiss before the girls waved.

Riley cut her friends off, before she got up and headed out her room. Looking down a long hallway, she sighed before walking down it and walking down the stairs.

"Yeah mom?" She asked, as she stopped at the bottom of the stairs where her mom was down on her knees unpacking boxes. "That is yours" Her mom pointed to a box, labeled

' RILEY'S SHIT ' in sharpie.

"Y'know sweetheart, it would've been nice to act even a little...happier?" Her mom looked at her with a smile. Riley darted her a look, as she lifted the box.

"Yeah, we moved out here to let dad's problems easier to disappear" Riley nodded.

"We've been through this..." Her mom sung a little. "Yeah, I know I'm right! Which is why I dont understand why we had had to move out here to be with Aunt Jayne. Mom, I know she's your cool sister, but if there wasnt a problem...we wouldnt be here!" Riley told her mom.

"Riley! Your dad did not cheat." Her mom stood up, flicking hair from her face. "So...you argued over something before making us pack up and leave? What was it then?" Riley asked her.

"Riley...if your dad cheated, we as a family wouldnt have moved here...just go unpack your stuff sweetheart" Her mom sighed, patting her shoulder as she walked past her. "I dont like this house mom! It's too open...I'm not used to open spaces" Riley called up the hallway.

"Feel lucky your room is twice the size as back home!" Her mom shouted back to her.

Climbing the stairs again Riley dropped the box down. Nothing special in it anyway, it was all binders and books. She didnt even need them anymore, if she was starting a new school. Which is also shit, because she's going to be the weird goth kid from an unknown town.

Ugh, she hated labels. That is what she and her friends got called back home, even though she wasnt.

"You forgot this one" Her dad appeared in her room with a smile, before dropping a heavy box.

"Ah dad careful! My merch is in that. For crying out loud!" Riley dived to the box.

"Band books and posters, sweetie you've got a nice room here. Try not plaster posters all over the walls?" Her mom asked, as she stood at the doorway. "Yeah, thanks for the suggestion but...nah" Riley shook her head. "You dont need frames of band logos on your wall" Her mom told her.

"Dont, quiet. You'll hurt there feelings" Riley joked. "Seriously mom, I'm not having white walls with...is that sea shells?" Riley looked closer to the walls. Her mom sighed, before shaking her head and leaving the room again.

"I remember when you used to love sea shells. The beach, the sand...you always used to run away from the water and jump up for me to take you away from the cold" Her dad smiled putting a hand on her shoulder, with a smile. Riley looked up at him, no expression on her face.

"Yeah well, I was seven. We all grow up, I dont like shells on my walls now" She told him blankly, before removing her shoulder from her grip and leaving her room.
