November 12th.

5pm

Saturday.

Riley sat in her living room, reading her magazines. Her dad sat opposite her, watching television and her mom sat on the one seat sofa flicking through a crossword. Tonight was the night for the guys, and to be honest Riley didnt have an excuse to tell her dad. She'd run out of many, and she didnt have the energy anymore.

She texted them good luck in the group chat they had, and told the girls and Jessica to have fun. Young love was an awesome song, they shouldnt have any worries.

Riley stuck her feet up, as the front door went. They all looked at each other before Riley's dad stood up. Riley and her mom looked at each other, before turning their heads to the living room door.

"Hello!" A cheerful light voice spoke, making Riley's ears pick up. "Hello" Her dad answered. "Um, is Riley here?" The voice then asked again. "Yes, she is...Riley!" Her dad called, and Riley got up. Walking out the living room, she then saw Jessica standing outside.

"Jessica..." Riley smiled, confused to why she was here. "Hey, you ready?" She asked.

Ready? For what?

"Um..." Riley spoke. "Oh dont tell me you forgot?" She smiled. "No...no!" Riley shook her head, trying to mentally tell Jess what the heck she was talking about. "Our school choir" Jessica then told her. Riley's mom appeared beside her, as she put a hand onto her daughters shoulder.

"Was that tonight? Oh I forgot about that too" Her mom spoke up.

What the heck was going on?

"Yeah, the school's choir is having this competition just like twenty minutes away. The whole choir, and our classes are going for support to our school. We were supposed to be studying for chem anyway, so we slotted it in so we could do both" Jessica smiled. "Oh yeah, that school bus was taking you" Riley's mom nudged her.

Riley stood. "Yeah! I forgot about that, I thought we were going to study tomorrow!" Riley spoke up. "If you cant do it..." Jess began. "No no, honey you can go" Her dad then told her. Riley's ears perked up. Huh? "Really?" She asked. "Yeah, have fun with your class" He nodded. "Just give us a call when you're heading home" He told her.

"Oh, thanks dad" She smiled. Jessica grinned as she nodded back at her. Riley grabbed her purse and slid it over her shoulder as she followed Jessica outside. Walking down the street, they walked in silence before they got to Jessica's car and got in.

"Okay...what just happened?" Riley asked. "Helloo sister!" Voices shouted from the back, making Riley jump. She turned to see Harper and Scarlet grinning at her. "Whats going on?!" Riley asked, as she laughed. "You needed a plan to get out. You got it" Harper smiled at Jessica. "No way..." Riley looked at her.

"I thought hey why not? You deserve this..." Jessica smiled sweetly at her. "Oh my gosh, guys!" Riley held her hand to her heart as she smiled. "The show starts at six, and I'm in leggings and a..." She looked down at her worn out All Time Low sweater. "Ahh, attendez la, ma douce" Harper smirked.

"She's getting cocky now with her french studying" Scarlet laughed. "Tah dah" Harper gave over a bag. Riley opened it and saw black jeans, and her nice dressy top with wedged shoes. "What...did you steal my clothes?" She laughed. "No, I simply borrowed for now" Harper smiled. "Come on, get changed and I'll do your makeup!" Scarlet grinned.

The girls headed into the large venue. They looked around, and saw quite a lot of people in costume. Dresses, suits, tuxes, and some were casual. They headed to the front desk, and picked up a leaflet and handed in their tickets. Looking around, Harper spotted familiar faces.
