It was back to school time.

School had been back for four days now, and the guys were sitting in the music room.

"This is hard, how are we supposed to write a song?" Nate sighed, as he looked up from his notebook, with a page full of doodle lines, and cartoon character drawings.

"Well maybe if you try lyrics...you know, words?" Levi smirked as he leaned over and saw the work by his friend. "You're hilarious" Nate told him with a straight face. "You got anything?" Drew asked Nate. Shaking his head, he then sighed. "Nope" Nate shrugged.

Levi smiled as he looked back at his half filled page. He was putting into consideration about the whole subject with Riley. How he felt about it, how the situation was, and how Riley was in all of it. He put together the words Riley told them, about what her dad told her.

"You got anything?" Drew looked up at Austin. "Mhm, I got a few lines" He smiled, quite proud. "How about you, Levi?" Austin asked. As Levi read his own work, he accidentally ignored him. "Levi, bro?" Drew spoke up. "Hm, sorry" Levi looked up the three guys who were now staring at him. "Anything?" Drew smiled.

"I got a good paragraph" He nodded, smiling. "Paragraph?" Austin asked. "Let's hear!" Nate grabbed his papers. "Hey dude!" Levi frowned. He was not ready yet.

A smile crept onto Nate's face before his eyes looked up to Drew and Austin. "Hmm, I wonder who this is about?" He shrugged. "No way" Drew chuckled, as he leaned forward and grabbed the sheet. "Drew!" Levi whined quietly. Austin leaned forward, and read the page too.

"Oooh" He then cooed. "Who knew you were a romantic?" Drew mocked. "It's the truth!" Levi snatched the paper back from him. "It's actually good. Better than what I have" Drew nodded. "Yeah man, it is" Austin smiled. "...Could we use it?" Levi asked. "Yeah, I like it...but lets try out Austin's first." Drew nodded. "Ready to get a beat?" He then asked Nate.

"What is...our sound?" He asked, a little confused. "Something fun..." Austin looked at him. "That narrows it down, bro" Nate looked at him. "Sorry" Austin held his hands up.  Drew stood up and sighed. "This is hard work" He took down an acoustic from the wall, and sat back down.

He began to play a little tune, before he stopped and sighed out loud. Austin frowned a little, with a smile. "Wait...play that again" He told Drew. Looking at him, Drew did so. Austin leaned back and picked up his notebook and smiled. "I think we may have something..." He told the guys.

1 hour later.

The girls peered their heads into the music classroom to see the guys. "Hellooo" Harper smiled, as they walked in. "Hi!" They all greeted. "How is the song writing?" Scarlet asked, as she sat down next to Nate. "Great! We think we have something." Drew nodded. "That's great!" Riley smiled as she stood beside Levi.

"Yeah, Austin wrote most of it. We added in, it's good" Levi smiled up at her. "Can...we hear it?" Harper asked. The guys faces dropped a little. "It's not ready yet" Austin cleared his throat. "Oh come on, just a snippet. A raw version" Harper nodded. The guys looked at each other, before nodding. "Sure" He told them.

Drew started strumming a tune, before Austin joined in.

You've to take your chance on romance,
don't leave yourself behind,
forget the haters and the visuals,
take my hands so we can fly

Austin began to sing, the girls attention was on the guys.

Girl the dance floor's open just for two,
don't need to hold back,
it could be once and one time only,
it couldn't be that bad

Drew sang.

So take my hand, forget your plans girl,
we won't stop, we'll tell the whole world,
now we're falling, falling in love tonight'

And now, I'm watching you go,
I'm following close behind you,
no time to take it slow
and now, I cannot deny,
the way that you move your body,
I'm falling in love tonight

Austin sang again, and the guys joined in.

You are at dance at midnight in downtown,
and when you caught my eye,
you took my hand and we went crazy,
I can't say I was surprised

Levi then began to sing, and Riley's eyes jumped to him. He sang, with a smile on his face as he stared back at her making her blush.

We laughed and danced and sang along
to the music in our head,
that was when I took you in my arms, and said
just take my hand, forget your plans girl,
we won't stop, we'll tell the whole world,
now we're falling, falling in love tonight'....

The guys finished up, and the girls applauded them. "Oh wow, thats awesome!" Harper told them. "I totally agree, like wow" Scarlet grinned. "I knew you guys could do it" Riley smiled, as she nodded, before looking at Levi. He chuckled, a little nervously before running his hands through the front of his curls.

"I like it. I really do" She then proceeded to tell them. "Thank you!" The guys nodded with smiles. Just then the bell rang, and the girls sighed. "Ugh, science" Harper screwed up her face. "I have home ec" Riley nodded. "Study session" Scarlet rolled her eyes. "We're free in here till lunch!" Nate mocked with a grin.

"Alright for some, huh?" Scarlet giggled before rubbing his arm a little. "See you guys later" She then told them before walking out. "Yeah, see ya" Harper nodded, and waved. "Keep up the work, its awesome" She put a thumb up. "I'm really happy about this, your amazing guys" Riley smiled warmly, before nodding and leaving.

The guys sat smiling, before Austin sighed. "Whats up?" Nate asked. "I really like this. I do. It's just...something is off" He nodded. "Like what?" Drew asked. "I dont know, just...we aint going to get anywhere with an acoustic, raw version of a song we wrote within an hour" He sighed, shaking his head.

"Its good though, and the girls liked it..." Levi nodded. "I know but, these judges are so harsh! We failed last year, and I got put down literally no longer than 72 hours ago" Austin told them. "We need to make it big...we need to show them, and those other asshole from across the road we're the shit" Austin chuckled.

"Yeah, hell yeah, I agree!" Nate nodded. The guys sat in silence for a moment. "...Anyone got anymore written stuff?" Drew asked. Silence. Levi looked at his papers, before looking at the guys. "What about...mine?" He asked, a little cautious. Austin looked up, before putting his guitar down.

"Levi, give me your lyrics" Austin held out his hand. Levi leaned over and handed the paper.

His eyes scanned the paper. "Try it a little higher...maybe a C" Austin told Drew. Drew began to play another tune, nodding. "...They call it young love, and they dont take it serious...as if they know whats best for us but we wont ever give it up...we want to feel this way forever, young love..." Austin sung, then smiled.

"I think we just found our basic tune" He told the guys, Levi grew quite an accomplished smile.
