Aurora's POV
Rise and shine!
It was a sweet morning after I got a decent sleep last night.
Opened the window and took a deep breath, felt all the morning breeze ruffled my hair.
Then, I hid under my table and peeked at James' window. Laughter started to fill my mood when I saw James was doing the same thing as I did.
James pointed to his woody - blue door signalling that he was going to take a bath because he also showed me his light blue towel. I nodded and quickly turned around to grab my towel and started to give myself a warm bath.
James and I were in the same school since pre-school. Plus, we're neighbours and we're already friends since—God knows when.
James and I love to do crazy stuff like run with the thunder, scream with lightning. Well, literally and it's funny that we founded out that the both of us have nyctophilia.
It means love or preference of darkness or night than light or day. These type of humans love finding their relaxation or comfort in the darkness. The similarities that we had just made our bond even more stronger.
"Mom, I'm going to school right now." Nonchalantly she nodded.
I couldn't care less. She never cares, too. I had this particular argument with my mom - a serious one. Since I was 5, she keeps on saying that I'm the reason why her world became dark. I was five and does she really expect me to understand every single word that came out from her mouth?
Unbelievable.
Mom will keep on pointing out my mistakes.
Let's be honest, shall we?
Whenever I see James' mom, jealousy will creeped out because his mom always give him kisses on the forehead and his dad always gave him 'morning talk' so that he doesn't blend with the bad influence in our school.
Oh, who doesn't?
Anyway, that was what James said. I want that too, real bad.
Grabbed my bag from the couch and went out of the house, I saw James waiting for the school bus in the front yard. With a white T-shirt written 'Hey' on it and my simple jeans I went out and reached out to him.
"Hey." he started. He gave me his sweetest smile and I replied to it. Well, his smile is really warm so it always boosts my morning.
"Hi!" I answered.
"So," he looked at me with his light brown eyes.
"Today I'm going to skip some classes and head home early." He then shifted his gaze and looked down at the concrete pavement.
As if he had done something wrong. It was so cute.
Bit my lip and held my smile, I exhaled and whined. "Why?"
"I don't know. Mom asked me to and said that dad is going to fetch me." He still couldn't meet my eyes and I couldn't help but to smile at his action.
"Then, I have to see you after school?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
School will never be the same without him. He's always there to cheer things up for me. I think I remember when James got sick and had to stayed home. I absolutely hated my day —
Okay, let's save that for later.
"Yes, " When he finally looked up, I saw a spark of hope in his eyes.
