Amnesia

Chapter 12

Went straight to a restaurant called Mario's, I parked my car in the parking lot and waited for Cassie.

Gee,she's the one who insisted me to come here early.

"Aurora!" I tilted my head as I heard the familiar voice. Cassie's.

"Where have you been? I've been waiting!!" She yelled at me.

Great. I came here just to be yelled at.

"I've been around. I just sat here for like I don't know five minutes something?" I explained.

"I've been waiting you in the restaurant idiot."

"Wow what? OK thank you." I emphasis my sentence before pushing her arm back to the restaurant.

"Why are you pushing me?!" She screamed. God, her pitch vocal.

"People are staring like we're a bickering lesbian couple, idiot!" I half whispered and yelled at her because there's a bunch of passersby watching us now.

"Oops! Hehe." She started to smile sheepishly and went straight to the restaurant.

Together, we went in and sat at the spot that Cassie called dibs on. A waiter came right after I rested my butt on the chair and handed us a menu.

I started to move my index finger through the menu.

Steak?
Pasta?
Or lasagna?

Hm, tough decision.

As I'm still trying to come up with my decision. Cassie had her orders ready and she pinched my arm gently. I looked up and realized that the both of them were looking at me. Feeling shy, I just ordered regular pasta with chocolate milkshake. Yum.

"You took your sweet time reading the menu." Cassie remarked.

"Yeah, I know. Thank you for observing me." I rolled my eyes at her and she laughed.

"So..what do we need to discuss?" I asked as soon as the situation became quiet and awkward.

"You said that because it was awkward right?" She drew a cheeky smile and spreaded them across her cheek.

"No! That's the reason we're here right?" I denied. Even though it's true.

"Yeah right." She pushed my arm gently.

I laughed-an actual laugh because of her action. Wow, I never thought that that kind of actions makes me laugh.

"You laughed." Cassie noticed my change.

"I'm a human. I can laugh too." I pouted.

"Aww, don't pout. I'm sorry." She continued to giggled and I smiled at her.

I tilted my head to the back and noticed a table right behind me laughing. A girl and a boy. Looks like a couple but I changed my thought when I heard :

"Euw stop it Danial!" came out from the girl's mouth when the Danial told her something and when Danial continued she said "Why did I choose you to be my best friend? God, I've made a huge mistake."

"You still love me, Rachel. Shut up." Danial shot back.

That's when it hit me. They're best friends. Just like James and I. Well, was. I wonder what will he think when he saw this kind of stuff. Is he going to smile? Or sad because he thought of what happened to us?

Stupid, Roe. He'll never do that. Honestly.
