Aurora's POV
Turned around, I looked at Cassie cluelessly. In fact, is she really just confessed that someone that I know told her, the possibility will be fifty-fifty if granny was still here.
It can't be.
"How did you know?" I asked her.
"I said it, someone you know let me know. " she was calmed when she answered my question. Unlike just now.
"No, I'm sorry. I mean who? " I smiled apologetically and asked her."And I already said it, too, I'll tell you if and only if you come and eat with me. " Cassie rolled her eyes.
Watching her attitude, I could feel that she's sassy. I didn't know much about Cassie before, but from what I heard here and there, she's quite intimidating.
Raised one of her eyebrows, she asked. "So? "Sighed for the trillionth times, I nodded.
She smiled and she helped me with my books, shut my locker and pushed my back gently.I chuckled and pulled her hands so that we can walk in horizontal. She was walking quickly and I couldn't keep up with her.
This girl got herself a pair long legs.
"Could you stop walk that fast? It's not like the cafeteria will run away from us! " I shouted.
Case was laughing heartily when she turned around and walked back towards my direction.
"I'm sorry, but you're just like a tortoise! " she said with a snort.
As soon as we arrived at the caféteria, I took my tray and grabbed the strawberry yogurt on the counter and took a seat where I kind of called dibs on.
Cassie came with a full tray of foods. She got a big appetite despite her fit figure.
I can't stop thinking about James.
What if James wants to prank me? What if all of this was just another white lies of his? What if he intended to hurt me, again? What if he humiliated me, again?
Thinking about it gave me shiver.
"You really like this place don't you?" Cassie asked after took a seat right beside me. I smiled and looked at my tray.
What? I can't confess to her. She's nothing to me. James wouldn't mind another guest, right?
Well, she's the one who insists in me having company.
"Hello, missy? I'm talking to you!" She smacked my arm.
I held my smile and pouted.
"Aww, don't pout. No one here loves you when you start to pout you know?"
"No one loves me when I started high school." I corrected Cassie's sentence.
It's true. Actually, it was since elementary school. Granny left me and never came back. My family hates me so much. James left me forever.
My life in three sentence.
"What? No. Everyone loves you, you got to believe in that." She said with a pair of hopeful eyes.
You know, I would to have some positivity in my life, I really do. But with the circumstance and all the incidents that happened on me? Positivity was just another word.
I snorted. "Which textbook did you swallow? Literature?"
"You know? I lost my magic in my life so, " I cringed at my own words and took a spoonful of yogurt.
"We can buy some portion with Professor Snaps! " Giddily she said.
I laughed.
"What if I want strawberry yogurt?" I emphasized my words and she turned her gaze from her spaghetti to my eyes.
"Oh my God, you can go here. "
Another chuckle escaped my lips and I became serious, again. "Seriously, how do you know about my favourite food? "
Her smile was dead and I felt guilty for it. She was playing with her food, preparing what she wanted to say before she looked at me.Dropping her fork, she crossed her arms and rested them on the table. "Well, I always help Mr Robert with filing work you know that, right?"
"Oh, I've heard."
Knowing Mr Robert, he was the teacher in charge with students files and he really adored Cassie. Maybe they have family history because they seemed pretty close, too.
"One day, he asked me to do some files and I helped him. I came across to your file and I thought she's kinda interesting, " She raised her eyebrows.
"I asked him who's that? And he said Aurora Daisine, and then he started talking about you."
"Let me guess, you didn't hear any of it. " I said in a suspicious voice.
"I was busy! Busy looking at your profile. Damn, you really set up the bar with your final exam. "
"Oh well. " I flipped my hair and smiled cheekily.
"I'm sorry but I read you personal part and saw your favourite food. " she lowered her head.
"I swear I only read that part, only. " she showed me her right palm and I chuckled dryly.
"It's okay. You don't have to feel guilty. " I assured.
"I just want to, you know, be friends with someone that is smart and good-looking. " she confessed.
I snorted and smiled.
Cassie is breathtaking, hands down. Her blonde hair just about her shoulder and it was curly at the end. Not to mention her flawless skin and chocolate eyes. Any guy that looks at her will be struck by cupid's arrow just like that.
"Are you mad? Why you looked at me like that? " I noticed she was squirming, maybe she was uncomfortable.
"No, not at all. " my cheeks was hurting from smiling too much, oh my God.
We continued to eat and a thought crossed my mind.
Where's James?
My eyes was looking for him while my hands were busy scooping the yogurt.
"Who were you looking for? " Cassie asked with a glimpse of concern in her eyes.
"Aurora!" A husky and loud voice called my name.
"Him. " I said to Cassie and she turned back.
