Chapter 42

Aurora's POV

Biggest nightmare?

I stared at the girl who just claimed herself as my biggest nightmare.

"Like what you see? " she said, rewarding me with a deathly glare.

"You know, James used to love this too. " she gestured her hands down to her hip.

I choked. James?

"Poor girl, she doesn't remember anything, D! " the girl behind her spoke.

They laughed and Cassie came right on time.

"Back off, bitch. " she spat. She handed me her food and looked down to Diana. Since she is quite shorter than Cassie, if it's a psychological war, Cassie seems to win.

"Bitch? Mind your language, missy. " she shot back.

"You know what? " she turned to her underlings. "I don't talk with trash. "

They giggled and I stood up.

"Is she talking about herself? " I said, looking directly to Cassie.

Cassie closed her mouth. Trying so hard to hold back her laugh.

"You know, you were not like this back then. " she said before continue, "I guess you keep getting better and better. "

They laughed, again.

I walked towards her and leaned in. "I don't care how I react back then. And I'll keep on getting better."

I was rewarded with ohhs and ahhs from her friends. "And remember, James is mine and always have been mine.

Diana stomped her feet and went off my sight.

"Bad. Ass. " Cassie was in awe and couldn't close her mouth.

I chuckled at her behaviour and insisted her to sit beside me.

"That's awesome baby. " James came and sit naturally beside me.

Now, I can't close my mouth.

"What the freaking hell. Did you watch all that? " Cassie screeched.

"I watched enough. " he replied to Cassie but his eyes stay looking at mine.

"I hate you. " I said, whispering but enough for him to hear me.

"I love you even more, baby. " he replied and gave my cheek a warm kiss.

"I need a boyfriend. " Cassie mumbled while taking a big bite of her charcoal burger.

We laughed and continued eating our food.

"What the hell are you eating ,Cass? " James asked, looking extremely funny with his dorky face.

"It's charcoal burger, dear. Nothing to be afraid of. " she replied with her thick English accent.

I love her accent.

"James, I need to know something. " I said and both Cassie and James turned to me.

"You and Diana ," Cassie choked.

"Is she your ex? " I said and James showed me his pale face.

"Why do you ask, babe? " softly he asked.

"She mentioned something just now. I just thought.. But it's okay its just an ex. It's not a sin anyway. " I shrugged and continue to eat my food.

James lowered down his head and stared at the green grass.

I shouldn't have asked that. Bravo, Roe!

"She's nothing in my life. Just some trash I found by the roadside. "

Wow.

I never expect James will say something like that. But I guess everyone have their own bad side.

"Who is she to you? "I asked without asking any permission from my brain.

"Just some girl, baby. You don't have to worry. " he chuckled dryly and smiled at me.

"Okay." I said and took another big bite of my burger.

"I vove you. " I said with the Burger inside my mouth.

Cassie and James laughed heartily. I smiled as I know I just cracked them up.

"I vnow. I'm funny. " I said.

James stopped laughing and turned his head, "What did you say? "

I swallowed the remaining food that was inside my mouth and looked up at him. " I know. I'm funny? " I asked .

"No, the previous one." He said possesively.

"I love you? " I asked.

"Is that supposed to be a question? " he asked back.

"No, " I chuckled. This boy. "I love you. " I said, giving a clear statement this time.

"To whom will you give the love? " he asked.

"The most flattering man on earth. " I said cheekily.

"And who is that, might I ask? " he gave me his best cocky look.

"James Cammison. " I smiled and kissed him.

"That's my girl. " he smiled.

"That's my girl! That's my girl! That's my girl! " Cassie sang some song which heard familiar to my ear.

"We have to find you a boyfriend, Cass. " James stated and kissed my forehead for no reason.

Love you.

"Of course, you should. So I can do all the cheesy stuff that both of you do. " she said, rewarding me a glare.

I shrugged my shoulder and mouthed What? to her.

"So what do you want to do next? " Cassie asked.

"You two have fun. I'll catch up with Ash. " James said and got up to his feet.

"So, Ash is here. " I mumbled.

"Yes, baby. I'll see you tonight. " he peck a quick kiss on my lips and walked away.

I miss him already.

"Oh! Aurora! " James turned his heel and shouted at me.

"Yeah? " I shot back.

"I love you! " he showed the heart sign using his hands and smiled.

I shook my head.

"You guys are too sweet, I think I'm gonna have diabetes soon. " Cassie said.

"It's okay. I'll buy you the insulin shot. "

We laughed and started to pack up.

"Where are we going now? " I asked.

"Well, there's a party over there. So, let's! Get! Crazy! " she screamed right into my ear. And I rewarded her with a slap on the arm.

She squirmed in pain and laughed. We walked towards the mini stadium and danced like maniacs.

Until my eyes glanced at a boy and a girl. Laughing and dancing happily.

And a vision started to play..
