Chapter 30

No, you don't.

When James said this, part of me was happy but the other one isn't.

It'll be nice if I knew him right before this damn accident happened. Maybe as a best friend or my real boyfriend.

You're dreaming, Roe.

His eyes is dreamy though.

Ugh.

Later that evening, James and Cassie took me to a restaurant called Mario's. I don't remember anything until I got inside and I immediately remember that place. Where I confessed something to Cass but I don't remember about the title.

When I told Cass and James about what I remembered, they looked pale but when I told them I do not remember the title of my topic with Cass that day, their face flushed with relieve.

I don't what it is, but one thing for sure is:

If they don't want me to remember that thing, they wouldn't do that kind of expression. And whatever it is, it's a bad memory.

I ordered lasagna and chocolate milkshake just like the last time I been there.

We talked about the accident and James explained about my Amnesia. Turns out, I'm having retrograde amnesia which is temporary amnesia because my cerebrum was being hit by the motorcycle.

But thankfully, it didn't hit me that hard. If the impact was a little bit more harder that I've got, I might have permanent amnesia.

When I got home, the only thing I can remember was the vibe. It was a bad vibe and James went to his house. And we're neighbours! Yas, I can tackle or flirt with him.

It's a joke.

No, you're going to do it.

No, I'm too shy for that.

Cassie helped me to get my bag in front of the house and promised me to help when my parents ask me. Well, I don't really remember their face or what so ever. So, I gotta be ready, right?

I knocked on the wooden door and a woman stepped out.

"You just come home? Where you've been? Do you think this house is a hotel for you?! " the woman started to scream.

Okay, what's happening?

"Mrs. Daisine? May I talk to you for a while? " Cassie said and the woman immediately opens the door widely, letting us know that she's inviting us to come in.

When I step inside, there's two male figure. One younger and the other looks in his 40-s, I guess father and son. And there other cute little girl with red polka dot dress and high messy bun. She looks good. Better than me.

"Now, explain. "The woman just now demand. She hugs her own body and putting the fierce face.

Case starts slow and have everyone eyes wide open with horror.

"She's— having amnesia. "

"What? " all the family members widen their eyes and make a permanent 'o' mouth shape.

"How can this happen? " the older male figure ask. Probably my father.

Damn, that sounded absolutely awkward.

"She had an accident four days ago. " Cassie silently explain.

It looks like she was afraid of something. Maybe afraid that my family will scold at her.

Well, that actually explain why I didn't see them in the hospital.

My mom step closer to me and started to hug me.

A total different kind of vibe than earlier. The warm is hug and it kinda comforting. Maybe because I am cold.

Then, dad and the other two of my siblings (I believe) also hug me. Cassie who is wide-eyed carefully place her hand and cover her mouth. She slowly backing away and I silently mouth 'stay' to her.

Mom started to cry with dad while the other two cringe their faces.

I don't know what to feel so I pat each of their backs and try to soothe their feelings.

"I'm fine now. I'm gonna be alright, you know that right? " I said softly. Almost in whispering voice and dad cup my cheek.

"Yes, you're going to. I'm gonna make it sure. "

"Yeah, your dad is a brainiac doctor anyway! " mom adds.

So, my dad is a doctor. Great.

"We're gonna take care of you. And this time, we're gonna do it right. " my brother said and kiss my forehead.

I smile and my little sister hug me.

Today couldn't be any better.

When Cass and mom helped me to unpack my bad after dinner, we chat about the hospital and accident experience which Cassie do all the talking since I didn't remember anything at all.

I sat beside Max, my brother who I just know when we having dinner, and Alyssa my little sister. Feels weird, I mean we already siblings since forever but I feel like we just get closer that time. Feels like I've been abandoned and never felt this kind of give but I love these feelings that I feel.

I'm gonna live a good life.

Cassie went home at two in te morning and I have another week of MC's before hitting two school back. I don't think I forget about the education. Maybe a little poke and I'll remember everything again.

And with Cassie and James' help, it's not a problem.

When I slid inside my comforter and hut my eyes, one by one of te family members stepped in and kissed my forehead and cheek while saying I love you.

But I never forget Max's words.

"I'm sorry, I love you so much and I swear I'll take care of you. I'll do the thing that I supposed to do before. Goodnight, sis. "

After he went out from my room, I couldn't stop thinking about his words.

But eventually, of course, I fallen asleep.
