Chapter 21

Aurora's POV

"Hey. " I said after I greet Cassie and walked in her house

"So, I'm sorry to ask you again. But, are you okay? " she said when we sat down on her silky and soft sofa.

"I'm fine. " I chuckled. "Why are you like this? " I asked her.

"Nothing, I'm just worried. " she claimed.

Cassie then took out some paperwork and asked me to teach her about Physics. It's about wave and it's my favourite chapter after all.

After that, we munch on some snacks and watch some movies.

I ty my best not to think about James. I don't want him to hurt me anymore. Let him hurt my physical. But, I never want him to ever said anything about being sorry for what he has done because it is not forgivable.

"Hey, " Cassie said.

"What?"

"You seem off. Why? " she asked.

Should I tell her?

"Nothing," I lied.

"You know what? " she chuckled. "He's right. You can't lie. "

"He? "

She seems shocked. As if she said something wrong in the wrong place at the wrong time.

"Nothing, anyway, you're lying. Tell me. "

"Well, you know everything about James right? "

"Hell yeah that asshole. " she remarked while rolled her eyes.

"Well that asshole, wants something from me. " I confessed.

"He what?! No, don't give him anything. Did he kiss you?! Did he tryna do something to you?! You can't let him! No!  We are strong! Women can't be treated like that by some–"

I laughed.

"Why are you laughing?! " she pinched me and pouted.

"No! It's just the thing that you said, it doesn't make any sense! " as I continue to laugh, she started to smile. Realizing how dumb she is.

"Really? I am so dumb. " then we laugh together. We clutched our stomach together because it hurts so much. And trust me, Cassie laughs way louder than I am. Maybe because she was embarrassed.

"Okay, okay stop. " I take a deep breath. "I need to tell you this. "

Cassie wiped her tears and began to be serious again. "Okay, tell me. "

I tell her everything. Cassie just listened to me without giving any comment until I'm finished.

And when I finished, she just froze there. Eyes not blinking and no expression is shown on her face. Nothing.

I thought she had went petrified or something but that just ruined my thought when she scooped closer and hugged me.

"Do not give in. He's an asshole and we all know it. " she said. I felt a little relieved though she sounded like she grits her teeth and said the sentence.

"I know. But I take back my words. " I said after letting go the hug but hold her palm.

"Which one? "

"The one he's not that important to me part. "

"Why? Isn't it right? You've moved on. You didn't do the peek-out-from-the-window thing right? " she said and tighten her grip on my wrist.

"But it still hurts when he hurts me and when I think about him. "

"Hurt? Hurt what? " she asked me. Her blue eyes widen when I tell her about the pain I'm having. From all those years. I kept it to myself. But I've learn to grow to trust Cassie and I trust my decision.

Cassie's family background is doctors so want it or not, you gotta have some intelligence in medication inherited by your family.

"From what you said, you look like you're having takotsubo cardiomyopathy. " she said the sentence in one breath and without stuttering.

"I'm sorry. Takot what? "

She chuckled at my confusion. "Takotsubo cardiomyopathy us a HeartBroken Syndrome, Roe. I think you're having them. Since your granny died. "

"What does it mean? " I asked. I am pretty sure I couldn't catch up what she was saying because she said the name too fast.

"Ugh, let me show you. " she stood up and run to upstairs. When she got down, she's with her white Apple laptop and sat back right next to me.

She opened Google Chrome and search for the disease name. Cassie then clicked on a link that tells about the disease and immediately show it to me.

"Here, read this. "

She passed the laptop onto my lap and let me read then while she stood up again and went to her refrigerator back in the kitchen.

Now, this disease may occur death. Because when the person that made you have this disease hurt or you see them getting hurt, your heart immediately giving response to/for them. For example, your heart is aching and you couldn't breath after you cried or you couldn't think about some memories because you know, it'll triggered the pain and let it consumes you. My advice, meet your doctor immediately to know how serious your disease is. Remember, this disease may occur death.

I stopped myself from reading. What. The. Hell.

"Cass! " I called Cassie with er nickname that she said only I can call her that. I like that thought so I just go with it.

"Yeah! Wait! Need to check something in the fridge! " she yelled at me back.

Honestly, she been there like for minutes and she couldn't get what she wants from the fridge? This girl..

She sat next to me again with apple slices on her hands and intended to hand some to me but I refuse.

"So, what did you found? " she asked.

"I don't know. Some things that may tells you every little things that I've been experienced since Granny passed away. Furthermore, it get worst. "

"When? "

"When James left me. When I was ten. Five years after Granny passed away. "

Cassie gasped and I just couldn't put these piece of puzzles together. But one thing on my mind that has been played from time to time since I read the article:
