Aurora's POV

"Roe? Are you done? What are you doing in there seriously?" Cassie barked from the outside.

The fogs that filled in the shower room has lessened and I stood on my feet, making sure I don't have any red eyes or nose before heading out.

I pulled the door slightly, enough for Cassie to see my hand and sprinkled some water on her.

"Aurora Daisine! " She screamed.

I laughed and put on the new clothes that Cassie gave.

"Unless you wanted to see me in a half-naked form, shut your mouth. " I said.

"Well, I've no complain for that. " I could hear Cassie chuckling and her footsteps reading outside the shower room.

When did I got this close with her?

I must admit, I felt so much comfortable with Cassie than the rest of the girls in this school. Girls hate me because of Diana but even if they didn't hate me, I'd still feel uncomfortable around them.

I unlocked the padlock and stepped outside the shower room after drying my hair using the electric hair dryer.

"You look good. " Cassie amused.

Rolled my eyes, I bit my lip. "It's just a plain shirt. How do I look different?"

It wasn't that plain. The shirt was perfectly fit on me with some space in them. It doesn't have pattern but a logo was perfectly compliments the shirt. The colour was matron and I love loose clothes on me and this one is the winner.

She chuckled. "I'm serious, may I take a selfie with you? "

Cassie took out her iPhone which I can't identify what the model was. It has classy cover and when she unlocked it, I saw a pastel colour lock screen and a cute parsian cat as her home screen.

"Your cat? " I asked.

"Yes, his name is Fluff. "She answered before pressing the camera button.

"Oh, just so you know. I'm not good with cameras." I claimed.

"It's a picture, not a test. You don't have to get an A for a picture. " she rolled her eyes and starting to set an angle for the selfie.

"Alright, smile! " she said and pressed the capture button twice before saying, "Freestyle! " and made a hideous face.

We laughed at the picture and I shared at the smiling picture.

I smiled.

A genuine smile and I knew that this girl just made my day despite everything that happened in less than two hours ago.

"Let's go to our class. " I said, pushing her to walk.

"Okay, what do you have now? " Cassie asked while looking at her phone again. Probably looking a her timetables.

"Bio and Calculus. You? "

"Oh, physics. I'll get going, then. " she said and rushed off to her class.

I watched as her figure slipped away from my sight but then she came back while yelling : "I'll send those pictures to you later! "

I chuckled and went down the crowded hall. It was a the end of the last three periods before we can he's home. Everyone was talking loudly in the hall. My ears were going to explode but I made through the crowded alley.

I went for Biology and Calculus then went straight home. But, when I reached home, nobody was there and it was relieving. I wouldn't love to see my mom making dinner and my dad at the sofa.

That kind of situation would be perfect for anyone else but mom will always be talking to me in a high note, harsh words and some not affectionate gestures so no, it's not perfect for me. A mother should take care of her child until they can take care of themselves. Not dump me as soon as Granny died.

I changed into my jumper and lied down on my bed. Sighed loudly, I began to stretch my tired body.

I've been through worst.

Odd enough, none of the teachers knew what happened in the cafeteria just now. It was fortunate since I don't want James to have any bad records on his reports.

Then, I got a text message from Cassie sending the picture that we took outside the shower room just now.

"Where did you get my number?" I texted.

Within a minute she texted me back. I thought I'd get blue-ticked by her.

"I helped Mr Robert, remember? You hungry? I'm up for binge night. " se replied and I gave her green light to go out. Stood up, I strectged my body again and threw my glance at James' room. His window was open and I saw him doing his homework.

I miss studying with you.

While I was changing, I heard engine car in front of my house and immediately I knew my family was home. Chose a jumper and black sweatpants, I went down with bricks covered around my heart. So that when they attacked me, at least I'll be fine.

I hope.

I went downstairs as quickly as I can but as soon as I reached the door my little sweet sister barked at me.

"Are you going to a party cause you look incredibly shitty." She snorted.

She was thirteen and she swore o her big sister? Unbelievable.

"Thank you. I'm going out." I snapped.

"Good luck." She laughed and mom chuckled.

Ever since she was little, she would always pick a fight with me. I know I should be mature about this matter but she was crossing the line.

How can my own little sister beat me? I never knew how it feels like to have a sweet sister who would help each other through thick and thin or how does it feels like to have the whole family back you up.

I missed my family.
