Aurora's POV
Where to, miss?
"What?" I said, in a disbelief tone.
"Yeah, teach me." Cassie's smile never leave her face and it's starting to irritate me.
"Teach you what?" I asked, still keeping the low tone before Mrs Rose caught me.
"Ugh," she rolled her eyes.
"You said you promised me that I'm gonna get good grades this upcoming exam so, teach me and prove it." She emphasised.
"I don't teach or tutor people." I confessed.
"I'm not that hard to teach. Come on." Her eyes we're sparkling and I hate it.
"I don't know how teach people." I claimed.
I never teach someone. Not even James. We discussed things, not teaching. I never wanted to teach people especially strangers. Plus, why me? Out of hundreds of students in this school?I shook my head, "No. "
"Just until the upcoming exam." Se pleaded.
"Why? I mean, why me? "Dropped her pen, she turned and looked at me, "You said you promise me. Now, I want you to prove it."
"I'm just saying you're going to do great because you have a great teacher! " my pitch may be up a notch but not the volume.
"Yeay! You want it! Thank you! " She giddily smiled and continue taking her notes.
Surrender, I let out a sigh. "You're gonna regret it. "
Her eyes steadily stared at her notes,"No, I'm not. Now shut up."
God, she's annoying.
The bell rang and class was dismissed. The delightful conversation I had with a weird blonde was end and I was happy. Stepped out from my class, I was going to go to my locker but my intention was blocked because someone shouted my name.
James.
"Aurora Daisine!" He shouted.
Sighed, I stepped heavily towards him.
"What?" I blurted out.
"You left your note, Edison." He said in a monotone.
I checked my bag to see if there's any note I left behind but then I saw him took out a yellow sticky note from the plastic and began to wrote something.
Handing me the note, he looked at me as if I was is last hope, "Listen, I need your help, okay? Do whatever I told you."
Was he okay?
"What? Alright. "
I took the note from his hand.
"Meet me at the back of cafeteria where you used to eat. Lunch :("
I almost chuckled, he used a sad face again. The last time he used those, he three an insult to me in front of everyone at William's party.
"Please? " He said.
James, how I wish those eyes were true.
Wether it's true or not, I gotta it check out myself.
"Thank you." He gave his thoughtful smile and I walked past him. Suddenly, the queen bee-atch started to pout.
When I tilt my head once again, James was cupping Diana's cheek and coaxing her. Diana glared at me and gave me the he-is-my-boyfriend look.
I could throw up.
"Roe, he has nothing to do with your life. Nothing."
I repeated my mantra a few times before I bumped into Cassie, again.
"Hey!" She started. When does she even stop talking?
I replied her with a smile. "Hi. "
"Faker." She rolled her eyes.
"What?" I blurted.
"Come on, can you accompany me to lunch today?" She took my arms and I was jerked up.
This is new.
There, I have a strong feeling to avoid this girl because I have to meet James. Because what if James really want to insult me? Because what if she suddenly wants to know about our story? The friendship that James worked his ass off to maintain it as a secret?
Rejecting her, I made an excuse."I need to go to the library."
She cringed, "For what? "
"I don't know, preparation to teach you I guess?"
"Ohh." She opened her mouth.
1,2,3
"Wait," she breathes. "Doesn't that mean that you finally agree teaching me?" Yes, she raised her pitch and I chuckled.
I nodded.
She smiled.
"Thank you!" Her smile spread across her face and she hugged me–in public. It's been a long time since I made someone happy by my appearance so just let me enjoy this one.
I was still chuckling when I asked her to let me go.
"Sorry." She let me go and I immediately remembered about James.
Cassie noticed it ."Why are you sighing?" Concern was driving her eyes. I didn't even notice that I was sighing.
"Nothing. I have to go to the library."
Where should I meet James, then?
"Okay, I know you want to do the preparations and stuff but can you not do it, today?" Cassie asked.
Feeling guilty, I asked "why? "
"The cafeteria is serving your favorite food! "She extoled.
I smiled and unlocking my locker pad, "Really? What is it? " I challenged her with my eyes.
"What if I answer it correctly? " she was confident.
"Then, I'll forget about the whole preparations thing for today and eat with you. " I promised.
Her face lightened up and her eyes was sparkling.
"Okay, it's strawberry yogurt. "
"Wow, you get it on your first guess. " applauding her, I put all my books on the shelf and took another note book for the next class.
"Of course, someone you know let me know about that. " I knew she slipped her words because after she said that, she looked at me and smiled apologetically.
Locked my locker and looked at her attentively, "Who? "
She was panicking but I know her brain is still working to find the next word.
"I'll let you know if you come and eat with me. "
How in the world she knows?
There's two person that knows about it. James and granny. Granny's gone and James would never let his list of contacts to talk to me. It's just how he runs his friends.
But, how did this girl know?◇◇◇
