Aurora's POV
I stared at the post-note and read it over and over again.
I got pranked a lot. Someone put dead mouse in my locker, or tripped me when I was jogging. But the worst pranks only came from James.
He would do anything to watch me cry in front of him and so far he didn't make it. I tried to control my thoughts and feeling when dealing with him because I know, one step to the past will bring tears for me in the present.
Bact to the note, I still have no idea who is this favourite person is. I almost throw the note away before two tall figures approaching me.
James and Ash.
Ashton Fernandez. James' right hand. His sidekick. These two came in package. James had a few more members in his group but he's close to Ash compared to the rest.
Ashton has a pair of black eyes that'll turn to dark chocolate when the lights kissed him. Tall figure and fair skin, he always caught the school girls' attention. The only thing that I liked about Ash's attitude was he's very polite when meeting with older people. The teachers adore him because of that.
"You know who is this favourite person?" Ash stepped in first with his stupid question.
Furrowed my eyebrows, I know I should give in. Shook my head, I answered him. "No. "
" It's me. "James answered.
Thought he had no voice to talk to me.
"Oh." I tried hard not to sound annoying but I could help it.
"Oh?" He mimicked. "Don't you want to know why?"
A small sigh escaped my lips and I looked up at James. His fair skin was beautiful on him. I always thought he was beautiful.
"No, should I? "
"Because you, "He leaned to me and deadly stared at me.
"Destroyed my life." He kept his voice low, probably scared if someone heard him.
We kept our past friendship behind because I always thought James were too embarrassed to talk about it. He never wants anyone to know that we were once friends.
I nearly fell because he was too close but luckily the locker is right behind me.
"I did nothing to you." I whispered to him.
"Oh, you are so good at pretending. Aurora." He let out a dry chuckle before releasing me.
The word Roe is hard on him and he had never call me that ever since we fought about nothing.
I heard footsteps rumbling and I immediately know whose was it.
Diana.
She came with her high heels and and her minions. She was wearing a high-waisted jeans and a beautiful peach colour top that compliments her body.
She pulled my rubber band with her left hand and pulled my hair with the other hand.
What the—
I screamed in pain.
Everybody was watching me.
James who was watching me smirked.
Oh God.
Diana laughed and my toes are smashed by her seven inch heel.
I shut my eyes but managed to held her arms and pulled me back in my spot.
She rubbed her hands on her jeans like she just touched a filthy thing and looked at me.
"That'll happen to you," she pointed at all the girls. "If you mess with my boyfriend."
Her what?
I looked at her while my blonde hair was hanging down in a mess. And praise the God for the strong breeze in the hall which I know it was probably from the chemistry lab just in front of us.
"I am not, "I was struggling to reply her while staring at her deeply.
"Not? " Diana drifted her gaze from the crowd to me and I could smell her perfume.
The scent is too strong. James hates strong perfume.
"I never mess with your boyfriend. " clenched my teeth, I took my books and locked the locker harshly. I took this opportunity to ran away and head to my first class.
It's the first day of school, the teachers will not ask about assignments. They didn't give any notes so I'll be fine. Hopefully.
Take a look at my timetable, I have English class. I forgot to bring my copy of How I Met Myself.
Beautiful.
