Chapter 28

Today was a Friday so I had a day off from work.

Mia and Sarah decided that we should go to the beach and they dragged me along.

My brother Nick and Brandon also came.

"Today's such a nice day!" Mia said excitedly.

"Sure, I guess."

We were in Brandon's car speeding to the beach.

We made it and there wasn't as many people as we thought.

We found a spot and sat down.

Mia and Sarah put on sun screen while the guys went surfing or swimming.

There was beach volley ball, so Mia and I teamed up.

We played with the other girls and it was pretty fun, if not for getting hit in the head.

I served and the ball flew into the air.

The other team, a girl with blonde hair and glistening green eyes in bikini's hit it back at us.

Mia lunged for it and manage to hit it into the air.

I jumped and spiked it down, but a girl with short brown hair and brown eyes caught it and the other girl spiked it back.

With both hands together, I served it back.

The ball went back and forth a long time until we won.

We shook hands and congratulated each other.

Mia and I were parched so we bought sodas for everyone.

The guys just got back. They glistened in the light because of the wetness. Their muscular arms holding the surfboards and plunging it into the sand.

They plopped down and we threw them drinks.

"That was awesome." Brandon said through gulps of air.

"Tell me about it." My brother answered.

I sat for awhile and my brother told me to go in the water.

"No."

"Why not? Just for old times sake."

*Minutes Later*

"Fine." I didn't have a swim suit and I was not thinking of buying one. I was in a t-shirt and short shorts. Mia and Sarah ran to the water with me.

We had a race there and we started to splash water on each other.

We all giggled and smiled and swam.

The water wasn't as clear, but I saw little tiny fishes. I got up out of the water and flipped my hair back.

The water spray the people behind me and we laughed.

I decided to try surfing. My dad only taught me a little but my brother managed to finish the lessons.

I grabbed a red surfboard with a white stripe in the middle.

I went out into the ocean and lied on the board. I paddled forward and waited for a wave.

The biggest wave I've ever seen emerged. I heard the screams of encouragement.

"Go Shay!" Mia yelled.

"Show us what you got!" Brandon yelled.

"C'mon! See if you can beat me!" My brother yelled.

"Lets go Shailey, let's go!" Sarah sung.
