Chase's POV

"Hey dude, are you in for tp-ing?" Nathan phoned.

"Who would you tp?" I asked curiously while taking my shoes off using my other hand.

I just got home from a meeting. You think I actually attended a meeting on my own will?

No. My dad dragged me to go with him. He said it was time for me to know about, "business stuffs because.."

"..I'm getting old and I need someone to run this company with me. Besides you're my only son!" My dad patted me on my back while he took a pace around the couch where I sat in.

I rested my elbows on top of my knees and massaged my temples. 'Not again.'

"Dad, how many times do I have to tell you, I'm not into business portfolios, important meetings, chasing deadlines, hooking investors.. I mean where's fun with that?" I reasoned out, dropping my hands and reclining on the sofa.

"Okay, I understand..." My dad said who just stopped on his tracks.

I smiled for victory.

"But why don't you come with me on my meeting. Just in case you change your mind." He continued.

"What?!" I asked in disappointment. 'I can't believe this.'

"My little brother's schoolmate." Nathan said, drawing my attention back to him after I pulled my shirt off.

"What?" I asked in confusion with my eyes furrowed.

"Nash's schoolmate." Nathan repeated, monotonously.

"Yeah, I know. I mean, are you really gonna do that on a nine year old kid? Besides, you're only gonna make his parents cry." I asked, walking over to the kitchen and into the refrigerator to grab a food.

I took the phone in a distant before calling out a name on one of my house helpers when I couldn't find anything ready to eat.

"Maria!" I exclaimed, pausing for a second but called once again when no one responded.

"Maria!"

After what I decided to be the last call, she ran inside the kitchen with her hair all over her face like she got stuck for hours inside a tornado.

I raised my eyebrow while she stood in front with no posture, whatsoever. "What happened to your hair?"

"I crossed over a spider while doing the chores, and I took it down with my gloves for almost an hour or so..."

"A spider?" I repeated, not believing that I had been living in one roof with a damn spider.

She coyly nodded while meeting both of her hands in front of her. "It somehow found its way in your room? And I had to move out all the things inside to look for it."

"And you found it, right?"

This time she shook her head, "No, but I found babies."

"Babies?-- Wait, you mean that darn spider was a mother who bore mini spiders all over my house?"

"Maybe?" She gingerly bobbed her head up and down, while I groaned in frustration.

"Ask for an appointment for pest control as soon as possible... and fix yourself up. I didn't hire you looking like a mop."
