3. Seating plan

She wasn't there. Phew. I looked around and saw people throwing around scrunched up pieces of paper at each other and a few paper aeroplanes zoomed here and there. The room was full of chatter and laughs from everyone.

Most of the girls in our class started giggling like crazy and waved to Taehyung, I do admit he was good looking and very popular, on top of that he was very smart too, he was like the perfect high school boy, but you don't fall helplessly for someone just because they are handsome.

The pretty smiles from the girls dropped when they saw me by his side. They've always had something against me. I rolled my eyes at their childish behaviour. A cunning smirk appeared on Taehyung's face. He reached down to my ear and whispered into my ear telling me how those girls were going crazy because we were still holding hands.

My eyes shot down and I laughed at his mischievousness and let go of his hand. Even though those girls are not the best people in the world, he still shouldn't play around like that.

Taehyung left my side and went to sit in his seat next to Jungkook, that evil smirk still on his face. The girls annoyed, looked at me one more time and flipped their perfect locks of hair that sat on their shoulders, before turning back to gossip to each other. I saw Seoyeon and went to sit next to her.

"AREUM, I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" Her cheerful yell made everyone turn around, shooting their glances at us. I wanted to wack some sense into her at this moment.

"Shhh, not so loud. I missed you too." I whispered hoping that everyone had turned back to their own conversations.

Seoyeon brought me into a hug and I hugged her back. We talked about what we did over the holidays. And by talked, I meant she talked. Seoyeon liked to talk a lot. In fact she did it all the time, whether you wanted her to or not. I didn't want to talk about what happened in the past two weeks and it's a good thing she didn't ask.

"She's coming!" One of the students wailed, warning everyone of Professor's arrival in class.

Quickly everyone scampered to their seats and seconds later Professor Kang entered the room. She was a nice teacher. She wasn't strict at all, but she took punctuality and homework very seriously.

"Good morning students, I hope you had a good spring break. Firstly, I would like to make a few changes before we start our learning paths."

I had a bad feeling about this. Few changes? What on Earth could she be talking about?

"I have a new seating arrangement for everyone, for the rest of this year you shall be seated next to someone you have never sat next to before."

The class mumbled in annoyance but everyone followed her instructions. One by one she called out our names until she reached mine.

"Areum," my head shot up. "You'll be sat here." She pointed here finger to an empty desk somewhere in the middle of the class. I dragged my things over to my seat and plumped down.

Seoyeon looked at me from the other end of the class, she looked more happy than she should have been. The person next to her turned around to talk to Hoseok who was sat behind her. It was Jimin. She had been crushing on him ever since we started high school and she finally got to sit next to him.

I was happy for her, I mean in my opinion I think that being head over heels for a guy is just plain stupid but it made her happy and that was enough for me, even though a boy shouldn't be the only thing to make her that happy.

The seating plan wasn't as bad for the other pupils. Seokjin sat a few spaces away from Sung Mi who he also admired a lot and Namjoon sat at the front where he could concentrate better, next to Yoongi who wouldn't bother him much because he was always asleep. Now that I think about, my assigned seat wasn't so bad either. Taehyung sat behind me with Dae Ho, he wasn't as far away just like our old seating plan.

"Now, another change to our class," Professor said, everyone snapped around and the chatters of the class quickly died out.

Seriously, another change? What could be more worse than this not-so-bad yet still horrible seating plan?
