It was Sunday morning, I slumped out of bed and quickly got ready for the day. I headed downstairs and to the kitchen to grab an apple and began to head outside.

"Where are you off to? My mother piped at me.

"To find Taehyung, I'll be back soon." And with that I left the house and walked to Taehyung's, wolfing down the fruit.

My mind wondering to where he had been all this time. He become more distant than he already was, he wouldn't reply to my calls or texts at all, I'm worried about him and I miss him so much. I reached his place, gulping as I stood in front of the large gates that stood in front of the enormous house. I hadn't been to his house for quite some time now and everything was so much more awkward.

My fingers lingered near the buzzer, hesitating, but eventually I pressed it. I played with the charms on the bracelet around my wrist, waiting for a voice to sound through the speaker.

"Hello?" It was Taehyung's mother.

"Urm..hi. It's me, Areum. I was..." I tried to speak but was cut off when the tall gates slowly opened up.

I looked around and slowly took steps in. I saw someone in the distance running towards me. I froze in my tracks. It was Taehyung's mother, she engulfed me in her embrace. She hadn't changed a bit, she wore a simple yet elegant dress, a pair of stilettos and the same sweet, expensive scent from when I first met her.

She released me and firmly held on to my shoulders, "Ahh, look at you Areum, you're all grown up and you're so beautiful, I bet all the guys at school must be drooling over you." She said.

I laughed nervously, that was the complete opposite of what actually happens at school.

"Come in." She welcomed me in, her arm wrapped around my shoulder as she guided me through the tall doors of the house.

We entered the house and sat down, she rang a little bell that sat on the glass coffee table and it wasn't long till a house maid entered with a silver tray.

"Here you go dear, have some tea." She handed me the cup and offered me some biscuits.

I smiled at her, she definitely hadn't changed one bit, she was still the sweet Mrs. Kim I knew from when I was five.

"So," she started the conversation.

My head swerved round to face her.

"How are you and Taehyung doing?" She asked, I didn't even know where Taehyung was let alone if he was doing okay.

"Urm...uh" I fumbled with my words trying to think of the right way to ask her about Taehyung.

"I bet you two make the cutest couple ever." She interrupted me, my eyes widened ready to jump out my sockets as I chocked on the bitter sweet tea I had just sipped.

She chuckled at my reaction. "Ahh, so cute."

She sighed at me with a huge smile across her face. I didn't know what to say, I didn't know she thought of me and Taehyung like that.

"I'm...um...I'm not d..dating T..Taeh..hyu..uung." I managed to say, mentally face palming myself. Why am I stuttering so much?
