Areum's point of view:

I waved goodbye to Taehyung and his mother rushing to Mrs. Kim's car in the harsh rain. I sighed happily, watching their car pull out of the driveway and soon disappear into the dim end of the street. Closing the door, I skipped back to find my mother sat on the couch by himself.

"You seem happy?" She popped.

"Hmm." I sighed, flopping onto the couch beside her.

"Where's he gone?" I asked, now sitting upright. I didn't know whether to call my father Appa in front of my mother, and calling him Ye Jun would be plain weird.

"He's out in the garden... I think." My mother shrugged.

I grabbed an umbrella and made my way to the front of the house, finding my father sitting on the bench. "You're gonna catch a cold like this." I muttered softly, holding the umbrella over our heads. "You ok?" I hesitated to say.

"Better than ever." He said, giving a small smile.

"You sure?" I asked.

"It's complicated Areum you wouldn't understand." He breathed.

"It might make you feel better if you let it out."

"Hmm." He mumbled.

"Take your time." I sighed, sitting down beside him. He didn't take much time, because he started blurting things out straight away.

"There's not much I can do, so I don't see why I'm upset. I want her back, and I'm willing to wait for her as long as it takes. I'm just scared I guess. What if she doesn't love me anymore? What if i can't ever get her back? What then?" He said quietly.

"I'm guessing you're talking about Eomma. I think all I can say now is that if it was meant to happen then everything will work out. You'll get her back if you're destined to." I shrugged.

"Do you think you and Taehyung are destined?" He asked.

"I didn't know before, but now I'm certain we are. I guess the universe was always trying to point that out, and I only realised now." I smiled.

"I guess you found your happiness. Any advice for me?" He chuckled.

"Maybe you don't need to do anything. Maybe time is supposed to heal you and Eomma. The only thing you should do is assure her."

"I'm sorry." He whispered, wrapping his arms around me.

"Sorry?"

"For hurting you. For hurting your Eomma. For leaving. I'm really sorry." He added.

"Here put your hand here." I said, taking his arm off around me and placing the palm of his hand on his chest. "This is the place people break, are you breaking?"

"I'm close to shattering... I think." He said.

"Mine was broken, so was Eomma's. But it's healing now." I said.

"How do you know?" He asked.

"I can tell by the way it feels. It feels different when your heart is broken and when it's not. It changes the way people act too." I popped.

"You're very smart." He smiled.

"I know." I shrugged.

"Just like me." He smugly added.
