"Hi Areum." She said shyly.

"Seo...Seoyeon?" I stuttered.

"In the flesh." She chuckled.

I was still frozen, staring wide eyed at the girl before me. Taehyung stood behind me, he reached his arm out pinching Seoyeon's arm.

"Ow. Wha-"

"Ah she's real!" He hissed, terrified.

I rolled my eyes, I can always rely on his dumbass to bring me back to my senses. "Ignore him." I said dully.

"Right." She said, still hesitant with his weirdness. "How you been?" She smiled.

"You've got some nerve." Taehyung spat, now coming to his own senses too. He puffed out his chest and pushed me behind him.

"I know. I just needed help. I didn't know where else to go." She started rambling, her voice trembling.

"Save it." Taehyung said in a half yell, startling Seoyeon.

"You don't understand I need Ar-"

"Leave. Now." He said in monotone.

"Please Areum." She pleaded, her eyes now glazed with tears.

"No need to cry. We already know what you're like." Taehyung growled bitterly. He began to close the door before I stopped him.

"Wait!" I yelled, shoving past him and standing in front of Seoyeon again. "Gunho?" I asked.

Seoyeon broke down, wincing under her jacket. Taehyung grew stiff behind me, but I ignored it. I pulled her into an embrace. Sure she's changed a lot from before, but inside she's still the same Seoyeon who needed help from that Gunho. I guided her into the living room, and asked Taehyung if he could get the first aid kit and something for her to eat.

"What?!" Taehyung shrieked in shock.

"Taehyung please." I begged.

Taehyung glanced at Seoyeon once more, still with hate, before leaving. He soon came back with the first aid kit, and left again for the kitchen.

"Here." I said gently, helping her remove her jacket.

I wasn't surprised to see her body beat up so badly. Her arms were full of bruises and scratches, but sadly this wasn't the first time.

"Does your mom know?" I asked, cleaning up the small beads of blood that dotted on her arms.

She shook her head. "You know I can't." She sighed, her breath hitching.

"Why not?" I grumbled. "This has gone too far."

"He'll hurt my mom too." She whimpered. "I've already lost my unnie, I can't loose my mom too."

"Here." Taehyung mumbled, putting down a plate of biscuits on the table. He saw the marks on her arms, making Seoyeon turn away. He quickly set down a mug of tea near her, and left the room.

"I'll be at the stairs if needed." He stated. "Not that I think it will come to that."

I mouthed him 'thank you', and turned back to Seoyeon. "Well one thing is for sure, you're definitely not going back there." I huffed. "Is this ok?" I asked, cleaning up the last wound.
